urethane bushings on the front sway is all you really need to stiffen it up. no need to buy a new one. also, where did you guys get your progress rear sway? ive been looking for one to buy all night and it seems like everywhere that carries them is out of stock!

i just installed the sway bar and wow, it makes a difference

but

as soon as i drove it outta my garage there was some banging noise every time i hit a bump and i couldn't figure y it was doin that....so i decided i'll take it to a shop or something and let them check it out tommorow so i drove somewhere and the sound went away completely and then on the way home i went through my neighborhood for turns and speed bumps and only on speed bumps the sound comes up

my buddy said to just wait and let it settle for a week and see if the sounds still comes up, but that could be bad if something serious is wrong

i hav no idea wuts wrong...any suggestions?? and did anyone have the same problem??

Check your lower shock bolts...

Hey Eric,

Try re-torquing the lower shock bolts. Those need to be on there really, really tight. If you have a torque wrench, set it 40 ft. lbs. BTW, I got this spec from leonine's post.

i tighten them as much as i could but i'll definetly try that tommorow...i think my dad has a torque wrench somewhere in my garage

also the bushing/rubber thingy on the bottom of the springs and the little nub might not be in the hole so i'll check that out tommorow too...i read like page 13 outta da 10000000000000000 pages of this thread and there shouldn't be any sound whatsoever w/ stock springs, but not too sure wut they said about aftermarket ones

EDIT: oh yeh i forgot...will the nub on the rubber thingy fit into the hole even with the bolts there??

Yes, the spring pad nub will fit even with the bolts.

My guess is that maybe you didn't route the bar quite right and it's hitting the plastic loom for the fuel lines. That is just a guess, but it might be worth taking a look at.

Oops, my bad. I'd check your exhaust to make sure that there aren't any especially shiny parts that would indicate metal to metal contact

I ordered mine directly from Progress. Its a 2 day shipping to where I live compared to 5 days from the east coast. Didn't pay too much and im pretty happy with it. I find myself going into turns more. Probably lowering my mpg cause im gunning it more in the turns. Still need to install my springs but i've been sick and the weather hasn't been good. The weather is nice now so I may install them this weekend when i get a chance. The springs are still sitting in my room.

Kelsodeez and Solbrothers,

Thanks for your orders, they are on the way. I do have what was all that Progress had left in stock. The next production batch will be 4-6 weeks away. Get yours while you can.

I also have a new, lower price on the Progress lowering springs. $144.95 plus shipping.

k, so i fixed the springs seating thingy and its fine, but then a rubbing sound came up....found out my springs were rubbing against the housing/shield...its barely rubbing and shouldn't be too much of an issue but this sway bar is takeing WAY too much but the improvement on handling is spectacular
