Brake pad replacement question.
Brake pad replacement question.
Hi guys, I'm a newbie.
I've got a UK stock Jazz (or Fit as its known) 1.4 Sport CVT. I had some new tyres put on it. I had a quick peek at the pads and it looks like its got 1 cm ~ 0.39 " left of material on it.
Do they need to be changed or should I wait for this brake pad warning noise? I presume its a metal spring of some sort which will hit the disc when its close enough and make a noise right?

i usually just keep an eye on the gap between the wear indicator and the rotor.
if you see a decent gap there, should be no problem given that you're on
stock brakes and dont track your car.
