coilover help!!!!

I am installing my coilovers but I cant figure out how to adjust the height of them while they are on the car. Mainly the back ones. I have Endura-Techs. I know I use the wrenches, but how?

Jack up the car to take the weight off of the suspension, then use the wrenches to loosen the bottom lock collar. Spin it down to give your self thread and then adjust the other collar to the height you want. Then spin the bottom collar back into place.

How do I use the wrenches? Any special way? which one is the bottom lock collar? I am so confused. They dont seem to move on the back. If anyone has a diagram of the parts of the back and front coilovers could you please post it?

How much would a shop charge to install these?

I looked...nothing answered my questions, just ones similar to it.

I moved the collar down about an inch and a half from the top of the seat and it still hasnt lowered it. Any suggestions?

I made a picture of what I have so far...is all of this correct?

Now, to lower the back spring I have to spin the silver part on the seat down correct? Anyone have any suggestion as to how while they are on the car? It is hard as hell to even move in a 10th of a turn with the exhaust in the way.

lift the rear of the car and take all the weight off the back suspension. take the wrench and spin the washer now to the height you want. this should make things easier. its hard if you are trying this with all the weight of the car on the suspension.

its part of a ground control system that allows you to adjust the height of the rear. you need to make sure all the washers are lowered on the gold threaded part so the spring can sit lower.

lower everything that could block the spring from setting lower. the spring rests on the washers like a platform. you have to lower the whole platform for the spring to lower too. i would take the nut off the top of the strut in both on the back. then jack the car up until you can move the spring back and forth. then loosen all the washers and jam nuts that sit under the spring that are threaded on the gold pedistal. then let the car down to rest on the spring to see if that is the height you want.
that make sense?

Thanks Kylerwho for your help and suggestions. I have pm'ed Sam Misled back from his request.
Sam Misled, don't forget that the silver spring seat actually has a lock bolt on it, so that too should be loosened some so that the spring seat will rotate (you will need the hex head allen wrench that it should have came with). Once you get the spring seat rotated down the "Gold piece" height adjuster, so that the spring seat sits 11mm above the base of the height adjuster, tighten up the spring seat lock nut so that it will not rotate any and move on its own. Put the spring back on the spring seat, making sure that the tag end of the spring is pointing towards the front of the car, put the OEM spring rubber on the top of the coil spring and then reinstall.

That should allow you to get the 1.5" lowered height in the back.

Good luck with the rest of the install. Take your time, if it is your first time to do this kind of install, your doing pretty good at this point.
