If you have 2" or more clearance at the lip at the point just before the tires reach the bottom of the incline you shouldn't scrape with the springs...I have had to lay a 2"X6" board down in front of my garage entrance to prevent trashing the lip anymore than it already was before I installed the springs.
I've had the Swift springs on since last fall, and I've only scraped on a driveway apron/street crown about 3 times now. Yes, you do need to be more careful, but it's not been anything where I went "OH F*CK!" I just detailed the car two weeks ago, and checked the front lip - all the scape marks are on the underside, can't even see them looking straight at the car.

Since the car is so tiny, I've never pulled up anywhere near a curb or turtle in a parking space, so that's a non-issue. I mean seriously, I have no sympathy for anyone that runs a Fit Sport up onto a curb!

As TC said, the handling with the stock struts and Swift springs has a German sports car feel to it, and I love the way the car handles now!

No, no... if I trade through Danny.Pal, I I have to provide him shipping information and depending on the payment other personal information. That's what I'm talking about.

Online, if you look at the stuff I put, I sound like an outgoing, "happy go lucky" person... but in reality, I have problems interacting with people, I'm "anti-social" in the sense that I tend to keep to myself... and letting others "know" who I am is one of the things I have problems with.

In anycase, let's move on. I don't want to be a downer on a forum.

I've put in an order for the springs with Evasive Motorsports - Your Source for Import Automotive Performance Parts , but I haven't gotten an email from them, even though the charge has shown up on my credit card. Or it had... it was pending with the full amount, now its pending with $0. Hum. It didn't go through.

I need to find a hydraulic jack.

Ok I just used PayPal for Danny. I sold my tails to a guy in Indonesia.

Well good luck with the Springs. Going to do them yourself? I have a jack in my garage.

yeah, i'm gonna try to do them myself. but man... i think i'm nuts for trying to do them now... especially since it just snowed. I do have a garage, but it doesn't give me a whole lot of room to work with. Even though its a two car garage, its full of stuff.

I even plan on taking pictures too... the plan there is to find a spot for the car and take multiple shots of it before and after... hopefully, positioning the camera at the same spot to show the height difference. Pictures will have to be taken from outside too, like I said, garage doesn't give me much room.

well, we'll see how it goes.

Well clean up the garage first you hoarder - lol.

Do not need a lot of room but still. I hate messy garages. Wife does not get to store any woman crap in MY garage. I have my race track set up in there.

I had forgotten how high we were jacked. Here is a side view - not too much, not too little. Just right she said.

except I live with my sister... she's the messy one. That's also the reason why I can't spend too much... need to save up, up, up as quickly as I can. I'm just about on target with my spending "allowance" (maybe slightly over budget).

re: Jim2bFit

I was thinking more, overall. How a direct comparison of how the car looks. I mean, yes, the up close shots show the difference... but if you step back to look at the car, would you see it? The idea is to take the shots from identical spots, so it looks like nothing has moved except the body of the car. Of course, that requires you to be far enough away to get the whole car in the shots. Might not be able to in a garage, even if you clear it out.

This is the closest that I have in my online albums. Before and after, not the exact same shot, but you get the idea.

Dang everyone seems to be happy with the Swifts. This is way off topic but my boss just purchased a 370Z and he wanted me to do a search on his car to see what springs were popular. the top thread was

Swift springs reviewed!!!!! - Nissan 370Z Forum

And we all know about their fame in EVO, STI, S2K.

Swift just knows what there doing! Very happy with my purchase to this day.
Blunt statement but BEST SPRINGS BAR NONE!

I think what you're seeing with the Swift springs is pretty simple. They are not designed or engineered to target the "looks oriented" lowering crowd. They are developed with a racing interest first, focusing on performance and handling rather than aesthetics. The best part is that they combine the performance with a nice balanced ride for a DD. That, and they allow for more wheel tire combinations!

That looks a lot lower than it probably is. The 45s help I guess. Looks great!

Mine have been shipped, and should be here in a few days.

TC, DSM...

I did it... got springs and installed them. yesterday I put in the rear (only the rear, because I didn't have enough time before picking up my mother from the airport) and then today I got the front in.

took less than 2 hours to do the rear (maybe only an hour, it was quick-ish)... but over 4 to do the front... I was trying to be "slick" and not take off the cowl (and the wiper motor)... that ended up taking forever to remove the top of the strut towers... especially the driver side (I couldn't even use my ratchet wrench). no power/air tools at all.

just got finished with it and a shower, now i have to head to work... guess I'll see how the whole thing goes. I know just swapping the rear made it seem odd sitting it in.

No rubbing whatsoever. And we got some bumpy freeways, with some mean dips. I don't really pack my car though. Just heavy me 190 ish and my 105 lb gf. Although I do have alot of junk in my trunk which i think explains why my rear looks alittle lower than the front. lol.

even on steep driveways I don't rub. Gonna try 205/50/16 next. Im pretty sure im gonna be rubbin like no other. lol.
