Arrow Spoon Twinblock Calipers and Disc on Fit GD1

Hello guys,

I've just received a Spoon big brake kit for my Fit GD1 consisting of Twinblock calipers, a 282mm Spoon rotor/disc and 3mm spacers. The brake pads needed are from a ITR 98-02 DC2. All these parts are right, according to Spoon and my vendor. However, my local Honda dealer told me that the kit cannot be mounted on my car. The OEM caliper seems to be mounted between the metal bracket on the knuckle but there is not enough space to place the Spoon caliper. A colleague told me that the Spoon calipers only has to be mounted from the outside of the metal bracket, the disc is mounted with the 3mm spacer beneath. Unfortunately, we did not try this idea on that day.

Can you please help me? How did you guys fit your big brake kit on your Honda Fit GD?

Thank you very much in advance for your help!

Regards,
Nico

After a lot of research, the Spoon parts are correct but they do not fit the EDM car that are quite similar to the 1.3S JDM car. I got the proposal to swap the knuckle, hub and bearings of my car with the USDM 1.5 parts. Do you think this is possible? These parts are really expensive so that I the purchase must be well-considered. But I'm really sceptical about dimensions and measurements.

Thank you very much in advance!

Unfortunately, there is not a lof of news. I am desperately searching for pictures of the USDM GD3 oder JDM knuckle and comparing them to my car. But I could only find one photo of the GD3 JDM knuckle. It does look familiar, but I need more material.

Can anyone get some pictures of the USDM GD3 knuckle? I would be really grateful!
