Suspension Brands

Hey Guys,

New to the forum. Wanted to ask you guys which coilover suspension brands you recommend. I have a 2016 Lx. Only thing I could find is Ksport, but I read that they're aren't so good. If there is another thread about this, could you guys link me?

Thank You!

Thank You. Which do you guys prefer? Im looking into improving the handling and ride quality. I know a couple of threads on here just went with lowering springs like swift and tanabe because its hard to find decent coil overs for the GK5.

I bought lowering springs for my GE8 because I don't like any of the coilover options under around $1800.

I would do the same if I had a GK.

(I wouldn't spend $1800 on dampers/springs for my daily when the quite nice coilovers on my fun car cost $1200)

But other folks have bought some of the stuff ecf posted above and liked them. YMMV

Mango, most gk5 owners just run ge8 coilovers, and call it a day

you're right about selection for gk5's, its pretty sad how little we have in terms of aftermarket support

I honestly dont know the exact #s, but I did cheat and googled it. Per Eibach:

fronts = OE rate: 23 N/mm (131 lbs/in).
rears = OE rate: 26 N/mm (148 lbs/in)

https://eibach.com/us/c-189-product-...honda-fit.html

as I wrote that, I thought to myself.... perhaps he meant "how do they ride", and if thats the case .... pretty darn sad (imo). Very soft, to the point where, you get tons of body roll in even the slowest of turns going on the loop-the-loop when entering the highway at moderate speeds, and not at all comfortable considering how soft they are.

Naha, I was wondering about the numbers. Those are very similar to GE rates. I imagine that's why people haven't bothered with GK specific stuff, the GE stuff seems pretty solid right?

Not sure if they make suspension for the GK, but for low end that are somewhat quality I'd look for: KW, Fortune 500 or Feal

it works / it fits ... no complaints here

the weight of each car is also similar, we can assume longevity shouldnt be an issue as well.

I would avoid Bilstein (if you can even get one). They are telling me to pound sand on a warentee claim on my PSS set cause they don't have any parts in stock and don't know when (or if) they will be making more.
