Could everyone that rubs/doesn't rub post what kind of tire they're using? Seems like as several have said that the tire size is the main issue. That would help a bunch!

yeah, you need to post your tires man!

205/45/r16's should not rub, even with your offset.

slips were on my short list for rims but i may have to eliminate them.

on jlbmotorsports, its lists the slips with a quite a few different offsets, some as big as +45 which is pretty close to the stock specs. any reason why you didn't opt for these?

Guys I'm on HFP rims (16x6.5 +55 offset) w/ 205/45/16 Tires and I don't rub and I've had 5 people in the car. Lowered on T1R S-Coils too. The Tires are Kuhmo Ecsta ASX.

i think this is the big deal. the HFP rims (which i would get in a heartbeat if it wasn't for the weight and possible mpg drop) are the proper offset.

Maybe if he had the +42 or +45 offset version he would be fine? but from what jim has commented on the 'rubbing...what works" thread, his tire size and rim offset without lowering shouldn't rub.

My rims are 15x6.5 40+ offset with 205/50-15 tires. I rubbed in the front and rear. I rolled the fenders in the rear and i still have slight rubbing issues. Im also lowered on eibach sportline springs so im sure that doesnt help. Im thinkin of just switchin the tires to 195/50-15 and i think everything should be fixed. But who knows. I was thinkin about just dealing with the rubbing til i get coilovers sometime and maybe that would fix it if i raise it up a little bit.
