15" SSR Competitions on Fit Sport?

I just picked up my new SSM Fit Sport today!! I have 15x6.5, 4x100, 42 mm offset SSR Competition wheels off a different car I want to install. I can't afford new rubber right now, and was thinking about having the Dunlops and TPMS's taken off the OEM wheels and mounted on my SSR's. Can someone confirm this will work?

Thanks,
Colin

That will work as long as the rims have provisions for the TPMS sensors.

I bought them back in 2004. I'm guessing they probably don't. What would I look for?

Thanks

On the inside of the rim where the back of the valve stem is, there would have to be a groove for the nut that holds the sensor to the valve stem. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to tighten the nut all the way. If you go to collegehillshonda.com and search in their videos, you will find a video about TPMS sensors.

as far as physical fitment, i should work. probably best to lower the
ride though cause it's going to look like a 4x4 running those aggressive
offsets (stock is +55mm).

i dont run the RF modules on my aftermarket wheels and have a
TPMS light on all the time. doesn't bother me though cause i check
tire pressure often.

Is there a fuse you can remove that will kill the TPMS light?

Just put the sensors in the wheels, they will work. If you're anal about not having the recession in the valve hole then buy the kit for the sensors. There is a kit that will band the sensor to the barrell of the wheel (ie the Ford sensors).
