Hello,

I'm curious as to what size wheels and tires to get for my Fit Sport. Right now, it's on OEM 16". I read somewhere here of FF that getting smaller (15") wheels and tires will be better for gas mileage, etc. If that's true then I am interested in looking for the right measurements for my car without running the risk of rubbing or damaging anything.

What are good wheels to consider when it comes to being light weight? I read that the Enkei RPF1s are among the top choices, as well as Volks TE37 (but damn, $500/wheel!!!) I used to drive a 92 Acura Vigor with 15" Konigs....which reminds me; are there any good light weight Konigs out there? Also, what would be the recommended offset for my Fit? Lastly, I am not interested in lowering my car if that helps (unless you think I have to if I want to get 15"s).

Please, feel free to reply with your own experiences / advices. I'm completely new to this so anything you can share regarding this topic and anything related would be awesome. And, if there are any threads that you could refer me to, please feel free to provide linkage.

Factory wheels are +53mm offset and are 16x6. Fit Sport alloys weigh around 19.5lbs and the tires weigh around 18lbs, giving a combined weight of around 37.5lbs. If you ran Enkei RPF01 15x7 wheels (9.5lbs) and Dunlop Direzza DZ101 205/55/15 tires (19lbs) you'd be at 28.5lbs per corner, saving 9lbs each. Very noticeable... and you'd be at an almost identical overall diameter to stock, with about an inch more tread width.

There are those who run +40mm or less who have claimed no rubbing with a 205 width tire, but the recommended offset is +45mm.

Examples:

Enkei RPF01 ($200 for 15x7 at 9.5lbs) +41mm

Rota Slipstream ($125 for 15x6.5 at 11.9lbs) +45mm

TRM C1 ($90 for 15x7 at 12.8lbs) +42mm

p.s. Konigs tend to be +40mm or +38mm, I suggest you think carefully about rubbing before looking into them.

Answered above! Dumbass needs to read better! Sorry. Well, I ended up with 195/50/15 for my tracklites. Check wheelfire.com or tirerack. Good info on sizing.
