I can say from experience that the stock GD sport wheels are damn strong. Wife slammed a curb (to the point the the side airbags deployed) dead on the drivers wheel and it just scuffed up. Thats impressive to not crack at that impact.

not to sound like a dick

not to be dickish at all but if you're looking for performance and really want a lightweight wheel why not just get a piggy bank and save up for the real thing? A lot of the time you can find good condition used wheels for close to half the retail price. I understand that 1-1.5k is a lot of money but modding your car is an expensive hobby and you might as well do it right the first time instead of having cheap wheels act as such and crack or break.
