Group request for new hood style...
Hate to steal evilone's thunder...

Thoughts and comments:
The quality is definitely up there. I can still smell the resin, haha. Not sure you could ask for more from a small co. like JDP. I had to slightly cut the rubber stoppers to get the hood to close, no big deal, just a heads up. Fitment is pretty good. A slight gap on the left side of the hood when looking straight on, but not noticeable unless you're really looking for it.

this is the fiber glass hood painted?
IT ARRIVED!!! so far so good! haven't done a full inspection, as i'll have to get it installed on my day off on Weds. but u can imagine my excitement as i just got home from work this afternoon to see this huge box waiting for me as i got in the door!
i IMMEDIATELY opened the box (carefully) and inspected the tips. the passenger side corner is mint condition. very very nice and clean. the driverside however has a small lil' chip off the edge. i noticed there's a small hole in the foam where it prob took a bit of a bump but otherwise looks like it made it out 99.9% intact.
will take a shitload of pics on install day!

the 'damaged' tip. doesn't look noticeable unless u were looking for crazy imperfections.. but the lil' chip on the end is no bigger than the tip of an pencil eraser.

here's the clean passenger side. mint condition. (sorry for the blurry img)
install coming SOON! great work JDP!!!

ITS HERE! On a quick check I found a nick on the corner. But that turned out to be it! Its so small, i think ill have the shop that's painting it see if they can touch it up! Its great JDP! Thank you!

This shows the nicked corner

And here is a perfect corner.

I am not going to be able to do anything with it until this weekend, But it will look pretty in my living room until then.
Thanks again JDP, sorry I had on my cranky pants earlier, all anxiety has turned back into excitement!
My suggestions for packing further hoods. Styrofoam under the hood. IF it were sitting on the ground right side up. Put foam underneath so that when the box is flat, the top corners don't receive any of the weight. You could use the kind they sell at Home Depot. Also, some stickers or arrows that say, "this side down" It might decrease the frequency that it is left sitting on these fragile points.
Just my suggestions. The hood looks awesome! Thanks again!

he's getting his painted by the shop and prob just having them bolt it on when done. I'm sure he has the know how to use a wrench.
These custom GE parts didn't just start falling out of the sky. You guys need to organize....and put your collective money to use.
lol i keed. >.> grrrr organize. gross
oh ok must have missed that...lol
^Ditto. I had the wifey help hold the hood while I tightened the bolts. I strongly recommend that you put a hand towel under each corner of the hood while you are mounting it up...otherwise you WILL scratch the hood and/or the plastic cowl.
