Apexi Coilovers for GE-8 on a Group Buy ONLY
My front passenger strut is grinding because I didn't put the 19mm nut on top of the OEM bearing. I love the suspension thus far and the ride quality is perfect. I'm running mine at two turns out from full hard.
I definitely would've liked the license plate frame as well. It would've finally given me a chance to ditch my dealer frame.

So i officially need to roll my fenders... or just stop carrying passengers. By myself, absolutely bare minimum rub. With 1-2 passengers i rub like nobody's business. fenders themselves are fine, but the black plastic is getting pwnd
OTHER than that. I love these things.

So the sway bar link nut is stripped from the previous install of my springs...what can I do to take it off?
I've lubed it heavily and even tried a vice grip but it wont budge..help
Finally got that stupid thing off...PITA I tell you...driver side took about 5 hours...passenger side, 30 minutes. Now I have one problem, when I take hard turns, the steering wheel stays in that position, for example, I make a hard left turn, the steering wheel is turned left while I'm going forward but somehow readjusts itself to the middle (not perfect middle since I need an alignment)...what could this be?

A little education on MIT vs. MIJ products. As the saying goes: "You get what you pay for..."
In this day and age with competition from manufacturers of other nations improving manufacturing processes and quality of materials being used, it is extremely difficult for Japanese manufacturers to offer products at low and affordable prices.
For example, the N1 EXV Damper Lineup. The average MSRP of the N1 EXV Damper lineup can range from $1100-$1300 USD. Whereas, the MIJ S1 Damper MSRP is roughly about $2000+ USD. I can guarantee that any suspension that is being sold for sub $1000.00 USD is probably not made in Japan any longer. With manufacturing costs not decreasing and dismal YEN-Dollar exchange rates, it is next to impossible to be able to offer suspension made in Japan at such low prices. We at A'PEXi are just very honest about where products are made, and cannot speak on the behalf of other manufacturers that note: "Made in Japan" on their products. When you compare our lineups of N1 EXV and S1 you can definitely see a difference in materials quality and even ride quality, but you get what you pay for as you are paying almost double the money for the S1 Damper.
However, though the N1 EXV Damper is made in Taiwan, that does not necessarily mean it is inferior by any means. The proper development time is still being utilized to assure that a solid product is produced with proper support (ie: instruction manuals, tech support, etc.)
The other thing that needs to be considered is what is the product being used for? In this case, we are talking about the FIT damper. The majority of Honda FIT owners out there (me included) are using this damper for lowering the car, damping adjustable, and being able to street drive the car with improved handling on the street. It is in the best interest to make sure that a product being utilized for this purpose to be of quality that is durable, but yet affordable. Hence, why the N1 EXV Damper lineup was developed and created back in early 2006. I think it would be safe to say that 99% of us FIT owners would not pay $1500+ for a set of dampers for our car...unless we were using this strictly as a track car, at which point we at A'PEXi would recommend going with a different damper if being used for such a purpose.
I think over the years consumers have become more educated of this fact. And that when you can get full coil-over suspension for under $1000, its probably not made in Japan. And that the quality level of manufacturing outside of Japan has increased as well.
Don't get me wrong, A'PEXi is a Japanese born manufacturer and still produces the majority of our product lineup in Japan aside from the N1 EXV Damper. Bottom line is we pride ourselves on making sure we can produce products that offer top quality at their corresponding value.
Just my 2 cents....

License Plate Frames.
Let me clear the air a little bit...LOL. Sometimes its all about timing...
When we started to get confirmations and shipped out the N1 EXV for the FIT out, we were out of stock on License Plate Frames. When the buyer who just recently picked up the set we had a few lying around and he had purchased our high-dollar S1 Damper kit for another vehicle at the same time, so I sent him a plate frame.
Nevertheless, all of you GB buyers, whom received the Super low GB price, lanyard and stickers as an incentive for your patience. If you would like a license plate frame as well, we can send one out to you once we get stock on them in the next week or so. Just send me an email directly if you would like one.

I know most stuff are MIT anyway .... is just that we trust MIJ product more than MIT!!! hehe =)
like cameras - if there are 2 cameras one MIT and one MIJ I would trust MIJ more than MIT (Made in Thailand) hahaha
I think everyone here loves Japan, specially stuff from Japan
I am just jealous when I see the S1 is MIJ and N1 is MIT hehe =)

"You get what you pay for..."
PS: do you like the photos I took of the suspension?? hehehe =)
