Ok guys, now that we've decided what we DON'T want let's re-vote to figure out the particulars of what we DO want. (Specifically how much angle we want in the spoiler.)

It seems that a moderate angle is best for the group so how moderate is the question. Let's get those final details decided so I can send the results off to JDP! And let's not have a repeat of last time

Option #1 Spoon "style" EG6 (mild)




Option #2 Spoon GD3 (more aggressive)




Edit: for those who are still concerned about #2 it's still pretty mild. The previous vote made it clear that we aren't going extreme. However #2 will look more aggressive from certain angles.

I hope there's still space because I just sent a deposit for a CF version. I like the GD spoon style (#2).

 

I really think we should have picked the style before we sent the deposits. Because now there is going to be alot of people butthurt who, if they dont get the one they want, are going to want there money back.

I really dont care either way, both look nice to me but I would prefer #2.

 

I understand your concern. However, this thread already has 2,345 views. As I said before, my concern was that we would get a bunch of opinons from people who wouldn't even end up buying it.

I guess the error in my plan to only have the people sending deposits vote was 2 fold. #1 I didn't realize that there was such a wide range of strong opinons on styles. I personally have preferences but am mostly just happy to get a duckbill of any style. #2 I thought that the group could easily fine tune their desires and work towards a mutual design much like they did for the JDP cowl scoop. (I hope we are doing this as we have already decided on a moderate style and now only have to fine tune that design.)

Once again, if someone is unhappy w/ the outcome of the final decision I will send them their deposit money back while we wait for someone to fill their slot, if it does not happen in a reasonable time. Other than that I frankly don't know what else I can do/would do differently

I'm a little frustrated myself and am tired of trying to keep this thing moving forward. If the group can't work together then maybe we should just send JDP both pics and tell them to do something in between. Let's keep the voting going and see how it plays out...

I understand that you're anxious to get this thing going as soon as possible, as am I. However, I've pm'd some people to make sure they are ok before we send it off to JDP. One other thing that was brought to my attention was that option #2 (the Spoon gd3) might hit the stock antenna. Probably why they sell a short antenna. I don't care because I have a shark fin, but JDP might have to play around w/ the angle/size to make it fit or you guys would have to all agree to go w/ it despite the antenna issue.
