ECU Remap

Hi Guys,

So I want to remap my Ecu by myself. My friend bought an OBD cable and is somewhat experienced with ECU tuning. I even have a second ECU to play around with. All I need is the tuning map for our beloved fit (2007, L15A, 1,5 Liter) Does anyone know where to get the Map?

And most importantly, is the ECU even reflashable??

Thx!

No one here as of yet that I have noticed.

A ROM tune would be the ultimate solution other than a stand alone system for turbo setups. Perhaps your friend could open up the spare and tell if the ROM is of the EEPROM type.

We would all be interested so if anything keep us updated on any success.

Just judging from the fact that the brainiacs at HONDATA Inc. do not offer much for modern Honda/Acura cars except K series tells me that yes a reflash is doable but difficult.

yea i hear the fit ecu is too sophisticated to be reflashed. it has some crazy firewall that prevents remapping. stupid honda.

Hey,

To Nabisco:

The Chip is an 93C56 Eeprom....

To VTECFit1:

thanks, I will give it a shot and contact the guys from Cobb Tuning, lets see if they find something out and share it with me.

Also I will make a tour through all the tuning shops in my area. I am living in Shenzhen, China, and these guys here crack everything open and see how it works (Mainly to copy it) but who knows, maybe I find a crackhaed who already cracked it. But it always comes with a price here, especially when you have round eyes and a long nose...

I will definitely keep you guys posted!

Cheers!

Cool deal!

I wonder if Racing Service Enthalpy would be willing to take a crack.

Thanks for everything. It is about time something gets started in this direction as
piggy back setups can only do so much.

i hear the firewall in the stock ecu makes any type of reflash hard for the 07 and impossible for the 08.

Hey Guys,

sorry, this will take longer than I thought. My car is currently in the shop. The guy who sold me my fit apparently had a crash and rebuild the engine. But he didn`t do a good job, so I was driving on 3 instead of 4 cylinders all the time. THAT SUCK`S BIG TIME! So the guys from my tuning shop are overhauling my engine. But it also has an upside, while they are at it I added a flywheel, clutch, have my fuel intake polished, my Catalytic Converter removed and a header installed. And all that for less than 550 US$! So on the one hand the Chinese screw you, but if you know the right people you can make up for it with a good deal.... But, back to topic, if I find something out about the ECU reflash, I will post it here!
