Hi folks,
I have a 2007 Fit Sport which I use as a commuter, and which I love, but the one thing I don't love is the anemic battery. I hypermile, and it puts a pretty high load on the battery, so my first battery only lasted a little over 2 years, and an OEM replacement battery from Honda is beginning to show signs of weakness already. Even though I hook it up to a trickle charger in the garage almost every night. Is there a high amp-hr replacement for the OEM battery? If there is, I would like to buy one. Has anyone modified the battery holder to take a larger battery.

you can stick a yellow optima battery in there, they have a 51r 450cca.
Or an interstate megatron 500cca.

 

You can get the Everstart or Energizer from your nearest Walmart. They are made by the same company, called Johnson Controls. They usually have better cold cranking amps than OEM battery specs.

 

Any 51R will fit, no mod needed.
