Hey all,

I am looking at purchasing a 2007 Fit Sport 5spd. It has approx 90k miles. I have test driven and inspected it, so far only found that some of the radio display cells are shot, has an aftermarket intake with cone filter.

Anything I should be looking out for at that mileage, or with that specific year?

service records?

in general the fit is a well made car. but nearing 100k there is a good amount of things id look into.

were shocks ever replaced? if not, theyll need to be done

clutch condition? was it abused (peopel with intakes tend to drive harder)? original clutch? it will probly need to be doen in teh near future

valve adjustment at 100k

spark plugs at 100k

coil packs are known to go bad. coudl replace them for peace of mind

besides that, knowing the regular service histroy woudl be nice. tranny fluid change? oil fluid changes? brake fluid changes? coolant is 100k mile change interval too (i think)

 

No real service records, it's at a local dealership here. They just replaced the spark plugs when it was traded in. I'll have to price out the coils...if I get it, I'll definetly be replacing the shocks & struts when I put some springs on it.

 

The 2007 has been a good car.
I have 111,000 (original owner)

Original Clutch. Original Shocks/Struts

I never had to replace my coilpacks.

Replaced spark plugs at 100K.

Did the brakes once.

Gone through about 4 sets of tires.

I need to get the valve clearance checked still (called for at 90K)

Get the airbag SRS TSB RECALL done, get the window switch and headlight recalls done as well.

About to replace the front seats...just the driver side is really needed though...my fat a$$ has destroyed the padding!
