My driver lock began to stick. I called Honda dealer about a fix, was told about $280 including new lock, asked about keyless, was given a quote of $488. Took the car to a locksmith who told me that he had seen many Fits with this problem, as the lock was made of pot metal, and quoted $520 for keyless and $320 to replace the lock, So I called my local dealership who ordered the lock for me. But when I took it in, the guy at the counter told me that he could set up keyless for me using a Sport model key fob ($51) and reprogramming the existing keys ($75 for as many keys as you have). That's because all the equipment - the actuator - is already installed in the 2009 Base Fit, only the key fob is not included. (Honda, what's up with that???) He demonstrated, and the job took 15 minutes. The sheet said "customer request Sport fob...", so I guess he could not officially propose it. He said he had to be present because the parts guys would only look for Base Fit parts and would not find this item there. And no problem with the lock I had ordered, heard no more about it.
