YAY!!! Broke my 35mpg
FINALLY!!!!! My last tank finally broke my highest of 35mpg. Since I bought my Fit my MPG would vary a lot. I drive all city and 95% of it the AC is on.
Lowest Ive got is around 28-29mpg. Highest was 34-35mpg.
Today I got 37.7mpg with 361miles to the tank. WEEEE! 38mpg city is pretty awesome.
Since I past the 10,000mile mark my Fit gets at least 330miles to the tank. Before I couldnt break 310miles. If I was lucky, 315miles and I put in 9.5+ gallons.
I dont drive her like a baby either. I ride out my gears to at least 3500rpms per gear. Also put on my heavier rims. (15x6.5in w/ 215/50's.)

Congrats on 35 mpg. I am valiantly trying to break 40 mpg, my last two tanks were 39.5 and 39.8. I drive almost all city but without the air most of the time.
My lowest tank was in the mid twenty's when I first got the car. Probably caused by not being used to the gas pedal in the car. As I get more familiar with how to drive it and as the car breaks in it just keeps going up.

On the freeway I keep it under 65, only going up to 70 when going up hills and passing trucks.
When coming up to an exit or slowing down. Instead of gassing until I need to brake. I just left off the gas and let the Fit gradually slow down on its own. I did this on my Accord and my brake pads lasted roughly 75,000 miles with 20% left. I had to change it because Virginia weather cracked the brake pad. This saves gas and your brakes.
Stop and go traffic ain't good either. Considering taking side streets to eliminate stop and go on the freeways. Check out Sigalert.com - Personalized Traffic Reports for freeway information before you head out.
Well one of the members on here, Jesse (IntegraDriver), beats on his car and still manages 300+ per tank.
I punch it every now and then, but most of the time I drive 65-70 and barely get 300+. In fact, I've only gotten 300+ miles on 2 tanks and I've had my car for almost a year (a year on the 22nd of this month).

i get about 330+ on 93 octane and i barely get 300+ on 89.
I drive my car like a normal person. I beat on it at times, I dont shift low. I always bring the RPMs up to around 3500-4000rpms when driving around. Its the only way to have a decent power band.
Cold starts I let the car warm up before actually actually revving past 2000rpms.
If you stay within the speed limits the car will get good MPG. That tank, when I got 38mpg I stayed on the 45mph limit.
Ive had a few tanks since then. Still 35-36mpg so Im in the range still. I have a good feeling about this current tank. Im at 7xmiles and it JUST left the full mark.

I think that is where you disconnect the battery to reset the ECU after you install intake, headers and any engine modification so your ECU relearn with the new modification and recalculates everything.
Slower start ups. When starting from a red light I normally can't keep up with the cars and I don't intend to if there is a light at the next intersection. Why go fast just to wait at the next intersection light?

and I work 35 miles away. 45 min commute I prefer it not be any longer.I'd like to add that exit highway comment. brake as little as realistically possible. The more you brake, the more you must've over-gassed.
