Question Question: Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

I'm planning to get away my AT Fit to get the MT Fit (sound stupid). but I don't think I can get 2007 Fit anymore. In 2008 Fit, it comes with Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) (don't know what is the point for that).

I had a set of the racing rims, if I put on the 08 Fit is it going to mess up the TPMS system??? Can I diable this function?? Is anyway I still can use the rims??

I really don't understand how's that system works.

Plz Help * Thx

you would need the sensors placed on the new wheels.

Well actually, the rims just for summer, so do I have to keep going to Honda to correct the sensor every season change???

you can get another set of sensors to keep on each set of wheels.

The reason that the 08 Fit has the TPMS is because ALL 2008 cars must have it, it's a new required safety feature.

We just bought a 08 Fit sport and had the wheels stolen before I made my first payment(in my driveway right after halloween)no I didn't have locks on them. Anyway, with the insrance money I got different wheels and bought honda wheel sensors and after driving about twenty miles the tpms light came on. The dealer told me, all I had to do was deflate the tires and then reinflate them to "wake up" the tpms. I did that and it still is lit I don't have time to take it to the dealer right now(they said it would take at least an hour to get it in and look at it) and I don't know if the warranty still applies. What do I do?

The sensors are built in to the valve stems, aren't they?

Discount was where I got the tires and rims and they said they couldn't do it. In fact, when they tried to reset it, it didn't work.
