weather's looking very good this week. need to take friday and monday off due to kids out of school/park district daycare service... i guess i'll work on my cars with them. not too much going on, i need to do an oil change on the GD pretty soon and pressure up the tires, basic maintenance.

so went over to the dealer to pick up my GD's wiper refills. if it was for my GE i would order from collegehillshonda.com, but due to the confusion ive had with the 07 vs 08 wiper refills, i just go to the dealer to get them and compare PN's before i pay.
on some of the 07's they used a traditional type wiper and refill... but on some of the 07's and 08's they used a thick one-piece allweather type blade and refill. they are not compatible with each other.
with tax and coupons still came out over $16... damn rip-off . lol i dont use aftermarket refills on my cars due to improper fitment.

ordering up another set of raceramps Flatstoppers this time for my G to prepare for winter. i think i got another 3-4k miles on the rear tires but the fronts are still 85%+ tread left. the tires are 300+ a pop so dont want them flat spotting during hibernation.
will be getting new rear pair (RE050A PolePositions 275/35/19) next summer.

Went to the stores took my older kid along. He's into dumptrucks and all sorts of construction equipment.
Anyway, there was a GTR driving next to us and was telling him to check it out. He showed absolutely no interest and continued to talk about the dump truck on the other side of the car. Lol.
Oh wellz.

Forgot to take nap. I'm sure some of you are questioning why so many posts per day. I'm practicing typing on the touchpanel. Hahaha.
Right now I'm using the company BB, I'm planning on getting me a droidx.

Motored the Z. was a good drive.
Too bad my intake hose broke at the base of the filter. Need to get a replacement. I put the stock intake back on while I get resolution.
I can tell that the stock intake is not as responsive but power output is more stable and obviously a lot quieter. Will see how the ecu adapts back to the stock intake. Chances are after another 50 miles or so throttle will feel better.

got the new cone today. just went to the manufacturer cause the store was no help. wtf is wrong with these people these days? another vendor scratched off my list.
it's one thing to be fast and friendly when you sell something, but the real differentiator is how you take care of your customers when there is a problem. i mean, this day and age, it's common sense for online stores to give you smooth transactions at very competitive pricing. silly how some folks dont get this.
anyway, my 370Z is back and running strong. the stock intake is just too restrictive when i punch the gas at rpm's shy of the torque band. with the intake no issue. very responsive.

so on the drive back yesterday i was in a decent sized bumper to bumper traffic on the expressway.... probably 3miles long. this just reconfirmed to me that it is much less strainful to drive my MT FitS in congestion vs my AT FitS.
the main difference is i dont have to constantly step on the brake pedal to slow down. i also dont have to keep pressing the brake pedal just to stay put. i just use 1st and 2nd gears, barely any throttle input and just work the clutch. when i need to slow down, just clutch in, give a slight blip to enage 1st gear. i can creep very slowly with literally no input. the clutch is so light that it's not tiresome at all.
in other news, i ordered up a new K&N filter cone for my intake with similar size as the one i have on the car. need to pick up some thread lock tonight on the way home.
