I've only flown twice, but each time I tried to look nice. But I'm also a single 20-something, who knows where I meet the next Mrs. 410b hahaha

I used to look nice when flying.

I'm now married and, more importantly, hate what flying has become. I wear comfy jeans and a polo now. Put on my Bose headphones plugged into by tablet and try to disappear.

mike - happy mrs410b hunting!

i have to and want to look nice when meeting clients during my travels because our company image is important. i do work for an elite company even though i might look like a blue collar couch potato while at home. i don't want to mess up the image they created long before i joined the company.. if traveling for pleasure i'd just wear something real casual like jake at statefarm. haha

Happy hump day guys.

Man that sucks about the parking garage situation.

I do like that your signature now says "Coming up...." haha.

Drove the miata to work today in the high 40° weather...actually had to use the heater! Been about a week since I drove it and all I can say is this thing would be infinitely better with a manual trans....not that it isnt fun now...but it would be even MORE fun with a manual. Like i've said plenty of times though...free is free haha. A swap just seems a tad expensive for what I want to do with this car.

Going to Phoenix tomorrow until Sunday to visit some friends. Debating on driving the Civic or not. Want to see what kind of MPG I can get on that long stretch of highway...but also dont want to risk rock chips on those long dusty desert roads. Plus that means I'd have to drive the entire 5hr drive both ways since hte GF can't drive manual haha.

hey have a safe trip to arizona, shinjari ! i've done the route66 route a few times from LA to Alberquerque then head onto tulsa and so on so forth. yah you might want to do the painters tape on the front and side mirrors.

hey free car is a great deal AT or MT!!

yah with the new parking im a bit hesistant to swap cars at the moment too. i know i want an awd DSG for dd.. if parking spots are crap i will drive the GTI a bit longer and see. might even cheap out and get a GolfR DSG and park it next to my white one.

True enough on the hydroplaning ... these wheels are half the width of the Z's lol

The current tires leave something to be desired in the wet traction category, though. Need to see where the kitchen remodel costs and end of year bonuses wind up. Then I can maybe look at a new set of wheels. And a new set of wheels always gets a new set of tires

Maybe it's just me, but the Fit's do seem to be more sensitive to tire selection than most vehicles. Maybe it's due to the light weight and short wheelbase?

Ours drives very differently just switching between 195/55-15's, 195/60-15's, and 205/45-16's. Very different between all seasons and summer tires as well.

Those small changes on other vehicles I've owned would not even be noticed.

I like the Touareg's. Old and new.

The new Atlas, however, is just plain craptastic.

Sorry to hear about your iPhone. Maybe when you're in there you can ask when they're going to release an iOS that actually works. The problems with our three i devices are getting worse. No battery life, constant connectivity issues with CarPlay and Sync and even issues with screen rotation orientation. Not an apple fan right now.

yah, i heard the atlas was a pos too.. big yet cheaply made for the us market.
i saw that subaru released some full sized suv too. ascent or watever its called. too big for me regardless.

thanks for your thoughts on my iphone. i put some clear packing tape over the cracked glass not to cut myself. its still functional so it should be an easy fix. 149 they want.. oh well. i should see if they can fix my old iphone6s which i ran over with my GTI. lol haha
dispite big scratches and a cracked screen it was still functional.

yep, will ask about the ios. too many people having issues with it. my phones are both ios10.xx so they work fine. no issue with carplay either.

driving an altima 2 days in a row was pretty painful. was super glad to get into my GTI and zip home.

i asked my kid if his mom would notice if i came home in a black Golf-R and parked it outside where i always park my GTI. hahaha. we both agreed, probably wont notice. but if i get a DSG Golf-R, i want a blue one. might seriously consider this route. im okay with having two Golfs.. but image both being R's.. that sounds more kenchan than a GTI and R for sure.
