that’s a sharp looking civic.
the black roof looks good too.
yah if i get the ND, id get the canvas roof not the RF.. i like the canvas look better especially when retracted. the head protection roll bars (?) are cool.

What is VW testing on animals? lol.
Also I'm a huge fan of those Mini Countrymans lately.
Yeah I like how his civic turned out....sans the anime stickers on the windows.
Drop is a bit extreme for me, but really like the vinyl roof/spoiler.
Hmmmmm soft top or hard top ND...I think I'm partial to the RF/hardtop profile when its up...soft top profile when its down.
Whats crazy is its still 'only' 155hp and 148ft/lbs. My NB miata is 142hp and 128ft/lbs. Granted the new one gets 35mpg vs my mid-20s.
this was interesting...http://www.motortrend.com/news/honda...type-r-pickup/

i have a stash of rover mini cooper bodies which are like $100 a pop right now. lol
and wheels and special shimizu tires i bought a whole production lot of.. that alone worth a lot of money.
and all hogging it for myself for when i’m older and retired.
in comparison my rc gear costs more than a brand new GK EX. no joke

Haha nice.
Spoke with my buddy who sold his '14 GTI to get a 3rd gen 4runner.
"Man I looked at and drove a few...they were very underwhelming"
"Dude...you're comparing your experience of a sporty hatch with 200hp...to a 15+ year old SUV with <200hp and weighing more. What did you expect?"

I test drove, just recently, brand new 4Runner's and Tacoma's. Top of the line models in each.
Was really surprised at just how crappy they are. They're everywhere because they hold up so well, but wow are they not nice. The interiors/exteriors look to be designed by manboy's trying to look tough and their features are just horrible. Toyota's infotainment systems have to be one of the worst. Then you try to go, stop, or turn and realize it can't do any of those as well as their competitors.
Compared to GM, Ford, or even FCA products they are poorly designed and featureless.
But...the Toyota's hold up so darn well!
I really wanted to like the 4Runner since it's one of the last real sport ute's
At least it still has the 4.0 v6. Toyota has ruined the Tacoma by putting the 3.5 Camry motor in it now. It's a very poor match for a truck. Needs tons of rpm and never makes any torque. The 4Runner with the old 4.0 drives much better.

shinjari- yah, GTI's low ground clearance dont help either for offroad.
i was never really into trucks. i always liked the shape of land cruisers and land rovers (and dat real boxy benz suv) and had many toy trucks and RC and stuff but never really wanted a real one to drive.
when the rental place gave me a pathfinder wtf mang.. was such a pos and scary unstable on the hwyway.
im just a nut for hatchbacks i guess.
