Damn dude that really sucks. Look like you will have to leave it there to cover up the spot. or you could go get some Honda Touch up paint and tuoch up the spot depending on how big it is. I just got the relocator, it looks awesome!

i don't think they're gonna redesign it now, since it's been that way for a while..but it would be nice haha. it was the same with my 94 accord, and the paint on the bumper was all scratched up too.

*phew* im glad i took of my plates the first day i got it. Sure the hole in the bumper pisses me off, but having to lose some paint would suck. Honda should have some Touch Up paint to make it less noticable.

Where are you guys relocating it?

I got my Fit in Dec but have not noticed if the plate is damaging the bumper? Damn I hope not.

Pics anyone of a relocated plate?

Tom.

its not supposed to make holes in the bumper unless they just screwed it right into it, its supposed to go in the air dam there are two screws in the middle and 2 arms come out and up to the mounting plate

yep, the dealership put a whole right into the front of the bumper when they put my bracket in. When i took it out i noticed that the hole there served no purpose and that most of the screws to take out was in the airdam. Just one of the many things the dealership does that i dont understand

Sorry to hear. I love the no front plate requirement in Arizona.

mine came with a huge bracket that was screwed onto two brackets in the airdam so i have no holes, scratches or anything. it was the first mod i did when i got the car. threw that sucker in the old parts closet. haha. good luck with the holes though. that sucks. i hope the dealer helps you out.

Hey guys,

I had the exact same problem with my Fit. Took off the front plate with the name of the dealership on it and saw that the screws (those which hold the metal plate to the plastic mount) were too long and they pinched and scratched the front bumper. I went back to my dealer the next day and told them, they took care of the problem right away. I guess they filled the holes and painted it..looks perfect now.
Everybody with this problem, try to get your dealer to fix it!
