can't decide, sport or LX?
Doesn't sound like this individual is interested in tuning their car, or even spending a couple bucks on some very useful options. You will have to pay for the keyless entry and alarm system as an extra. You miss out on the system and the paddle shifters if your automatic.
If money is that big an issue, just get yourself the Base. The $2,200 you pay extra for the sport is well worth it, but it sounds like you wanna spend the least amount of money more than anything. My advice for you, get the base.

I'm going down to test drive an LX again to see if it more comfortable than the sport was. Now, i'm not saying i couldn't live with the sport if i stuck a seat cushion or something on it but when you're uncomfortable after a 1/2 hour that is a sign. I will put on about 33000 km a year on the vehicle just for work so i want it to be comfortable. I'm looking for a fuel efficient vehicle that is cheap to own. I already own a vehicle so this is going to be my work vehicle. The fit is at the top of the list because it has good reliabilty, reviews and 'fits' the bill. This next test drive will seal its fate in my mind.
I test drove the LX fit. I was not as uncomfortable as i was while driving the sport but i was still not comfortable. Also, the ride was smoother over the bumps, must be the tires. And, i like the shifter better in the LX, its smaller and easier to grip. Seat comfort: The problem is the seats and position of my legs. the other problem is my lazy leg muscles are not used to driving a standard. i find this is not a relaxing car to drive because the legs are always working because of my long legs having to bend and having to raise my feet to work the pedals. The seats are uncomfortable to me also because they are too firm and those pads that are supposed to keep you from sliding side to side actually start to dig into my back. Needless to say i'm looking at alternatives like the matrix/vibe. I test drove a 09 MT matrix today and it was way more comfortable and has more room inside for storage. it is more money but sometimes you have to pay more for comfort. If the 09 fit was here i would look at that but have no idea when it is coming to Canada. the honda dealer didn't even know there was a new one out. If it's coming to the us this summer then probably add 6mo or a year until it comes to Canada, so its not really an option for me. Despite my seemingly bad review the fit is a very good vehicle. I would have bought one if honda made better seats.
u r right...till this day i still dont understand why they had designed the fit seats so godamn uncomfortable.
my neck and bum are super stiff after sitting in it for 5 mins..it's superr stiff...why cant they make the seat like the civic??

i've driven 10 hrs in 1 day with megan coilovers and 40 series tires (azenis = stiff sidewalls, megan = stiffest out of the box?) and i'm fine..maybe u have a weak body/mind?
