New Fit

I bought a 2008 Fit Sport in October of 2007. Its to my understanding that there is an after market console with an arm rest built into it. Where do I get this part and if I put this on my car will it void my warranty? Can anyone inform me? Thanx.

Hey Ken,
Welcome and hope you're enoying your Fit! You are correct, there is a replacement console with armrest but it is a factory part imported from Australia by College Hills Honda in Wooster, Ohio (not too far from you...). They received 100 units a couple of months ago and sold out in about a week.

2007-2008 Honda Fit Imported Accessories

Go to the link and sign up for email notification when they receive another shipment. That's how I got mine. Pricey, but worth it... Took about 45 minutes to install and there should be no issue with your warranty unless you break something related during the install and try to get the dealer to cover it.

There are other options for armrests such as at Zeta Products, Inc..

Good luck!

Ken

Console w/Armrest

Thanx Ken !!

I just Emailed the Honda parts place and am waiting for a reply. Since the weather here is still a bit chilly I can wait until the weather gets warmer LOL. I checked out the Zeta Website and to be honest I think I will just pay the $289 for the Honda part. The console looks better and factory original. I am used to having an armrest from my 91 Camaro and miss the armrest a great deal so I am going to be eager to get the Fit console with armrest, the armrest makes driving a bit more comfy, plus I like having the storage in the console that hides things as well. I'm surprised that Honda doesn't offer that already installed.

Ken

Yeah I would go with the OEM JDM armrest.
Here's a DIY video: YouTube - Podcast Episode #19 - Honda Fit Armrest Console

Hi there. I installed an OEM console from Japan. It was by far the most expensive piece of plastic i've ever bought! haha. However, im glad I bought it. I really like the look of it and is functional.

Here it is in my '08 Sport MT:

Im 5,9 and I have no troubles...in fact, sometimes ill slide the cover forward. My dad (whose 6,1) sometimes drives my car and he can shift fine as well.

Thanx for the console pic Prelude_Guy97, I know what it will look like now, but I have to wait 5 months : ( I have a friend who had a Prelude many years ago it was an awesome car. He sold it and wishes he still had it. I forget what year it was BUT it was a nice car.

It's also sold out, but sold at www.jdmland.com and it's priced a little lower. They have great pics of it that show the armrest in different positions, and the cupholders for the rear seat passengers

BTW, you might want to get the JDM right side visor. It has a vanity mirror and a business card holder. I just did this last week, and it's great.

No problem.

AJ Racing has them. Although, I ordered mine through japanparts.com. It only took a couple of weeks.

I miss driving my Prelude...it's been in storage since Oct. I hate winter! I have had mine for almost 5 years now. I have 42,000 miles on my '97 and has never been winter driven. I bought it off an older couple. Preludes are really nice on the highway. But, im pretty sure im going to sell next year. I plan on joining the Fit/S2000 owners club sometime next year though. I know there are many Fit Freaks who also own an S2K.

I'd like to get the passanger side Sun Visor w/Mirror (good idea), but I'm not sure I want to spend $70 on it.
