Upgrade your fit

Im thinking of the best way to come up with some more horsepower and torque for some all around more fun. Heres what i can think of...

Intake
Headers
High flow cat
Catback exhaust
Lightened Flywheel
Clutch upgrade
Wheels
Tires
Apexi S-AFC

TUUUUUUUNE

If any of you ****ers have this, let me know Dynos or estimated gain, or just how it ****in feels. Id like to know whether my lil 1.5 has got some room to play or is my fit just a nice lil JDM piece of eye candy

Maybe all that stuff combined would give you the gains your looking for. haha. I have a Fujita SR and a Megan header for now and the gains are pretty minimal. I think the fujita dynos at 4 and 4 and no clue on the header. It sounds alot better but other then that nothing really all that crazy. Maybe when i finish my exhaust it will open it up a bit more but so far not much out of the little 1.5. If your looking for power and torque maybe you should go FI. Turbos and superchargers will give you alot better gains. Just a thought.

Has anyone checked to see if Hondata is doing reflashes for the fit yet?

Hondata already said it's not worth it to make reflashes.

Regardless, your ****ing car will probably be around 105-110w-****ing-hp before a tune. Maybe another 5whp on top of either of those with a ****ing tune. Wheels, tires and the clutch/flywheel won't add anything to your ****ing dyno tho. I'd add in a lightweight ****in' pulley to free up a few more hp. I'd be carefully with a lightweight flywheel though, the gears are already ****ing short enough in the MT so I'd hope you like to ****in' shift a lot. Regardless, you'll feel some ****ing gains with a simple i/h/e setup.

BUY An FI kit thats already pre-tuned. You'll put out at least 15whp more without any additional mods. This way you won't have to go back and sell off some of the parts you picked up, if you do decide to go FI. Honestly you'll be really limited if you go and spend all your money on those parts.

engine swap! thats the only way to make real progress! don't know how much it would cost to make all these upgrades but i'm pretty sure it wouldn't be too far off from a total swap

you know..I have pondered this question a lot in the past. and know i will say it one more time. it's not worth modding. unless you build a customized fi setup, or a swap, all other cash is waste. regardless of which header you get, which intake, it wont make a difference. it's actually economics, it depends how much you are willing to subsititute.

If you really love the fit, have the money to burn, and don't want to do a Swap, then get all the add ons there r + FI, pretty soon it won't just be how much the motor can handle, it ll be more like how much the stock fit can handle.

if you want cheap power, Nitrous, I know a guy running a 75shot on his bone stock fit, smokes all kind creatures all the times. Super sleeper since it literally is a bone stock car with a bottle. FF movies give nitrous a bad rep, it's actually the best cheap power there is. and if done right, it's very safe. the guy I'm talking about s been daily in his since 07, problem free.

alright look

there is my old civic with an ITR. plenty of fun and not the greatest daily driver. all im looking for is a little more fun with the car that i own. im not looking for balls the walls fast and hell. im just looking to give me lil car more play. if you look back to the B series motors, puting a D15B in your EG was a fun canyon setup. decent pick up, decent top end, and over all a lil more fun for less than any B series K series turbo or supercharger. dont hate.

only mod that is worth the money, and will make other mods ACTUALLY make a difference, is the kraftwerks supercharger.

Well since your saying you dont want to get all crazy with power and want it to be a nice DD you could easily still go FI otherwise if your looking at keeping it a bit simpiler you could always do intake, full exhaust, and pully. That would give you a bit more fun with a little extra. If you want a little more springs and a SS other then that FI is the only other way to go for real "true" gains.
