So I was walking up to my car in the parking lot of my local grocery store today and this guy was loading up his Mustang parked right next to my Fit. Out of nowhere he says (obviously to me), "You actually bought that THING?"
That kinda caught me off-guard, I just gave him a blank stare and thought, "are you SERIOUSLY asking me that?" and drove away. If this was his idea of making small talk, he's one huge douchebag.
It's also surprising since there're so many Fits now around my area (West LA).
Anybody have similar experiences?

 

take down his license plate. next time you see his car, slash his tires and key the words "honda fit was here bish!!!!" in his paint. he'll NEVER say an unkind word to you, or any other fit owner again.

 

haha, never had anyone be some mean. A girl i know likes to jokingly make fun, but other than that no. They are unbelievably popular now, and he wishes he got our mpg. I know the Fit is no ladies magnet, but i dont give a !@#$. The Fit is just what i need, i move around a lot. Going to move to NJ for 7 months for a job, what other car can carry all my stuff and still get great mpg.

I often call my car a mini odyssey, the fastest slow car on the road, I like to refer to myself as a fat guy in a little coat.

I actually had to Hispanic guys in a old beat up work van blaring some Spanish music stop in the lane next to me despite them being about 20 cars back in that lane. They looked over at me and just started laughing and pointing at me. Don't know what was so funny but couldn't help to laugh myself.

no one really talks crap to me. i think its because people get intimidated by the way i look. my chick friend calls my car a yaris and that is pretty insulting.

everyone makes fun of mine becouse noone has one around here yet, but i just smile and say "you wish you had my MPG" everyone has beat hatches and junky beat up hondas with built motors and think there god becouse thay make alot of noise lol

 

i work in an emergency room, i had a patient come in and i noticed his i love jdm shirt so we started talking about cars. when i told him i had a fit he told me that fits looked like suppositories on wheels. i actually that it was funny.
but there is this one chick i work with who always calls it an aveo because she knows how much it pisses me off.

i would rather be known as the giant pill that goes up your butt with wheels than an aveo.

 

ehh.. my friends laugh at my car, my gf's friends laughed at my car that's alright it's all in good fun, but i've never had a stranger do that, he was obviously looking down on me, i could tell from the way he was staring while i was pulling away... well if the Fit is an eye-sore for this guy, he better start getting used to it! FIT FTW!

 

hmmm the only time anyone has every made fun of my car was a buddy who said my car is like a midget car. as soon as he stepped in the car though he took that comment back ;D

 

i had a old guy in a vette ask me if i found my fit in a cereal box in downtown in orlando. but i get my revenge on vettes , crotch rockets ftw
