Every now and then, someone makes fun of my car, but I kind of brought it on myself:

The first time I saw someone laughing at the badge was actually some soccermom in a Oddysey stopped at a light behind me. Otherwise, I really don't think most folks around here give a crap, which is not exactly what I would have expected, given some of the stereotypes of the DFW area.

I also got some jabs from a few of the other forums I'm on, given my history with cars. I haven't had anything NEW since 1986, and almost everything has been big V8 and RWD. Fact is, I've been in to tiny utilitarian commuter cars since I lived in Germany years ago, and have been wishing for something like the Fit to eventually show up here. The Fit is 90% as fun to drive as any of my other cars, even if you count the lack of straight-line acceleration. It doesn't matter how fast you can go straight-line if you have to creep around the corner ahead, and not many other folks can hang with the Fit through the corners.

LOL, I don't care either. I'm usually carry about 300 lbs of cargo. Sometimes I do delivery with it. Saves me and the company lots of money cuz we don't have to use the diesel truck and pay diesel price...eww! I gotta say this. I love the space & fuel efficiency balance. Not many cars have that. The fit is perfect for medium size cargo transportation at low cost, nothing can beat it in that catagory. Those who judge a car on solely horsepower/power are blunt. With all the money we're saving on gas, we have no reason to care about what they say cuz if gas ever goes back down to $1.00 a gallon, we'd spend only $10 for a full tank of gas. We'd have the lots extra money lying around to our advantage. They can spend their stimulis check on gas!

AND TODAY I GOT CUT OFF BY A COP! I LAUGHED MY ASS OFF CUZ IT'S SO RARE THAT THEY'D DO THAT. LOL

Actually, our Fits could be a hemi (but aren't) since that refers to the shape of the combustion chamber. Its just not a 426 hemi. Boy do I miss mine, gas prices or not. The great winged Plymouths and Dodges were awesome to command. Nothing, not even highway patrols, got in front of you. They were wary that your throttle foot might twitch.
I like your emblem; how in the world did a soccer mom know what that emblem meant. Did you see a NASCAR sticker on it somewhere.

Hehehe... ditto on the Wing Cars on the open road, but I'd sure rather autoX (let alone commute) in the Fit. Not sure how the soccermom figured it out, but she had to point it out to her clueless husband who was driving. I watched the wole thing in the rearview, and the guy didn't get it or didn't care.

When I had a G54B, I noticed that there were a few people in the starion/conquest forum that put HEMI badges on their cars. (It does have a hemispherical head on it & ties in w/ the mopar thing ... it's a mopar-bishi!). (At car shows people would comment on it ).

You could put a hemi in the back and set it up that way.....would most likely be a violent drive!

After I traded in my '06 Si, my buddies at work (state college) started putting sneaker logos on my Taffeta White Sport, every day was a different brand (the K-Swiss was the best). This all started the day I got it and one of the rounds keepers said my car 'looked like a sneaker'. The logos were damn funny though! The best thing is the guy who called it a sneaker always asks what I get per gallon because he can't wait to sell his Ford F-whatever diesel, costs him near or over $80 to fill. Whenever I reply "37.5 mpg city" he just shakes his head and says 'damn'.

Fit Haters !

Some dillweed busy putting several cases of beer and ice into his dirty Lexus scratched my drivers side mirror the other day with a shopping basket. I was tempted to throw my large Coke at his car and and yell hey "@%$@#%^$@#&". Little did he know I also had my Glock 19, stainless barrel and LaserMax on my side in my Comp-Tac Infidel holster as usually in case it really hits the fan...

But no biggy, I am a strong believer in "we really should all be nicer to each other" and my beloved Fit is bound to get scratched up in car wars sooner or later, nothing a bit of touchup paint will not fix.

People who hate Fits are possibly a bit jealous, paying $360.00+ for gas is hitting hard if you drive a gas hog. Since we know the Fit is fun to drive, saves gas, and can carry loads of alpacas, surfboards, etc. I have tought about putting the 30MPG sticker on the back of my car...

Ugh, old people. Countless times, they've cut me off on my bike. That's why I always carried a roll of pennies (pass them and throw it onto the ground. Bouncing pennies + paint & windshield = immediate justice).

I know this is off-topic... but you guys talking about being run off the road while on your bikes reminded me of an amazing story of a friend of mine.

I assume you guys were talking about motorcycles, but this was a bicycle accident--close enough....

She was bicycling home (she commutes almost every day to work on a bicycle). Some ass in an SUV who "didn't see her," knocked her off the bike. It was low speed, as they were both taking the same left turn from the same traffic light (yes, this was as they were pulling out to turn!! They both sat there at the light for 20-30 seconds.. and the driver "NEVER SAW HER!!!")

Anyway, here are three pics:

1: This is the general scene after the accident:

2. This is the "damage" to the SUV (a few scratches):

3. This is what my friend's back looked like after (YES, those ARE TIRE TRACKS ON HER BACK!)

Lawsuit. I wouldn't settle for insurance coverages if I had tire tracks on my back! I'd go for more. She may or could have gotten injuries that would stay with her for life!
