The obvious reply would be, "I'm sorry, I realize it says Fit on the back, but I don't think you actually will"

I sometimes make fun of my fit. I call it the "fastest turning slow car" because it basically is the fastest turning slow car I've seen. Also, not every mustang, corvette, etc drivers are ***holes. But there is a lot of ignorant ones. What it really boils down to is "Are you happy with your car?" For me, I'm very satisfied because this car is easy maintenance. I was considering getting a used lexus IS, but when I looked at maintenance, my head started hurt. LOL. Also, the Fit looks more fun to mod down the road than any other eco car. I have a feeling there's going to be lots of parts floating around in the future.

Also, I got stared down by a passenger in a corvette yesterday. I didn't really care because gas prices just did their overnight jump. I'm just going to take the money I save on gas and go shopping with it in the future while some of these haters are paying high gas prices right now. LOL. I can care less about them.

Obviously, you've never ridden a bike, or never have encountered life/death situations. Do you even know what that feels like? When a 4000lb Cadillac pulls out 15 ft. in front of you while you're going 50-60MPH? Or have a Buick Park Avenue run you off the road switching lanes? Doesn't matter if they did it on purpose or not. The fact is, THEY COULD KILL YOU! Yes, kill. End your life. Think about that before you go blabbing on about who needs to grow up. My friend just had a redneck hillbilly clip him going through an intersection in his POS truck and ran. Fractured femur, tibia, fibula, radius, etc. Still can't walk right, but at least he got away with his life. If I ever run into that hill billy, you can bet that pennies at his truck won't be the only thing he will have to worry about. How's that for mature?

Oh, not to sound like a internet tough guy, but anybody who chases me down on my bike better be carrying a gun, because anything short of that, you're going to have a tough time dealing with my moto boots, carbon fiber gloves, thick leather jacket and a helmet. Not to mention the buddies that I always ride with.

I don't think 99% of the cars could "follow" a bike.

That would actually be really funny, especially those old people. Scare the crap out of them. Maybe even rig up a feather release mechanism right above the fender eliminator.

+100000

I ride too! Helmets can put holes into windshields... =) You don't want MOTO ICON imprint on your face. And if you try to physically hurt me, you're only hurting my armor on my jacket.

My car is catching the attention of all the wrong people lately, over the last two weeks I have had numerous negtive comments from passing motorists and people about how it looks.

Totally sucks, the only bright spot was this little kid that passed by in a parking lot who though my car was life size hot-wheels toy.

Your reaction is no different then someone who swims with sharks and after getting bit blames the sharks.

Riding a bike amongst high speed metal objects weighing at least a ton is slow suicide. If you do it long enough eventually you will get hit. While the careless driver is responsible for causing the accident the biker is primarily responsible for his injuries. The road is full of careless drivers. Drving a motorized vehicle is an inherently risky action. It is each individual's duty to ensure their own safety as best they can. The biker knows this but chooses to ride the road on a vehicle that offers no protection.

I support bikers right to ride bikes with or without helmets. I just expect them to accept the consequences of the risks they are choosing to take.

i havent had any negative comments in a while, the other day on my way home from work i pulled up to a line of six older model 300zx's the car that i was next to was a younger girl. at first i noticed that she kept looking at my car and laughing, i rolled down my window and the first thing she did was tell me to get a real car. i felt like having some fun so i rolled up the window and revved the engine. as soon as the light turned green i took off leaving the sound of grinding gears behind me. when we got to the next light i looked her dead in the eyes and said that there was no point in having a real car if you didnt know how to drive it. all she did was roll up her window. so much for trying to be a bad ass in the Z!

I havent had a negative comment from anyone so far. The biggest comment I get is that my other Honda (VFR Interceptor) matches my car. Both are red, both haul two people (we all know the Fit can do 4 easily though), both get 40mpg, both corner great, the only difference is that one accelrates alot faster When I park my new Ducati 696 next to them I have three of a kind (it's red also).

Yeah, you're right about that, but I'd sure try.

BTW, I ride too, so I know what it's like to be invisible to someone driving in a car. I still wouldn't throw anything like a padlock though! Maybe one of those little baggage locks would be ok.

My wife took my Fit to the grocery store the other day, and not one, but two other women came up to her and said "What a cute little car! How do you like it?" And upon seeing the extra badge on the hatch, BOTH said "Oh look, it's got a HEMI!!" When my wife explained that the badge was just my attempt at humor, they both thought it was funny as hell, and that their husbands would appreciate it, too. I guess the self-inflicted "fun" DOES get noticed from time to time...

I have a 340awhp evo 9 with carbon fiber front to back and I love the honda fit. I tell everyone who is looking for a great econo car to buy the honda fit.

To me it Fit's perfectly. The room, handling, versatily, and mpg. It has good aftermarket support too since it has been in japan for awhile.

The people who make fun of the fit is just ignorant of the potential the car has. With gas going sky high, you will see those same people scrambling to buy one up soon.

I have notice the opposite of people laughing and starting to take notice since every time you look at an article on good gas mileage cars that the FIT is referenced in the article as one of the best and most reliable gas savers. People are starting to look and say MMMM not a bad looking car. If some one does laugh, I just flip then off and floor it before I get my you know what kicked.

UGHH... this stupid (literally) girl in my school!!.. wow

So im sitting in my car and my friend who owns an IS250 sits in my car and compliments the hatch and the interior quality... Then his friend comes over and i happen to know her two and she asks "Hey Jason, is this car electric?"

I was like OMG! WHERE IS MY KEY! and i start it up and rev it WITH AN INTAKE installed so it's really throaty and shes like "Why did you do that?" And my and my friend were like BECAUSE ITS NOT ELECTRIC! and her reply? "I'm Confused" and walks off.

WOW... i am really offended
