Why do people who drive stangs always seem to have an attitude? They are constantly driving like crazy and then this crap comes out of their mouths! I can honestly say that I have never had anyone give me grief about the Fit - I have had a guy hanging out the passinger side of his car yelling, "Hey, I really love your car," and give me the thumbs up, I had a Mazda driver taking my picture out his sun roof - OK that was strange! I have had guys come up to my car and tell me how much they really like it and this happens at least once a month. Everytime I go to the gas station and get $25.00 in gas and then always go back in to get a few bills and some change back, the cashiers always ask me what kind of car is that!

So we don't have the fastest thing out there running but the Fit is a capable car and especially giving us great MPG and more bang at the pump - we will never be able to smoke a Vette, a Stang or just about anything out there running but if that were our goal in life - we would never have got our Fits in the first place or we would have gotten our Fit and slapped on a turbo! Yup - they are different but in this case different is oh so sweet!

My other car is a 435hp 1973 Gremlin X so some of my car guy friends give me grief that I went with a small Honda with only 109hp. However, they to complain about their bad mpg in their daily drivers and hot rods. But then again 40mpg in the Fit is much better than 9mpg in my Gremlin.

Every time I pull up to my grandmothers house for dinner (every other sunday) My family yells out "Pizza's here" because y 8 year old cousin said it once thinking I was the pizza delivery guy, who also has a VBP fit,

 

Now I can't help but imagine said redneck as looking like Goofy

 

My brother can relate to that with his Echo Daily Driver and 528 hemi Dakota. he gets about 9Gallons per mile in that truck.

 

Haha yeah man. And even worse, these kids are obsessed with drifting and what do they do, they pull the e-brake going around the corner and screw up the already ghetto spraypainted car! hahaha!

 

the people i used to work with gave me a bit of grief. they'd call it speed racer, or make fun of how small it was, while defending their 'fun to drive' suv's. i pretty much laughed in their faces. how fun it must be to spend over 50 bucks to fill up a tank that lasts less than a week huh? thats a type of fun i guess i'll just not be lucky enough to enjoy!

 

How are SUVs fun to drive? They handle like boats. I hate driving them.

Her reply was drowned by squealing tires. These people are jealous and angry. Wait'll gas cost $4 a gallon. Or next month when their gas credit card bill arrives.

 

New Ford Mustangs are mostly dogs anyway. Can't even get them with a big block anymore Try getting 38 mpg in your stang... With gasoline at $3.50 and summer 08 just ahead, Fits rule.

 

I've gotten pretty much all positive reactions with my Fit. I get a lot of people asking whether or not it's a hybrid, and whenever I fill up, people are always telling me that they bet my car gets super-awesome gas mileage, hehehe. The fact that fill-ups still cost me around $26-$27 can't hurt, either.

The only person that hates on my Fit is my brother. He always talks about how ugly the car is and asks me why I chose it. I just smile and say "Hey, you can't even afford a car, so at least I have wheels!" LOL. His idea of a great car is the Chrysler (sp?) 300, which is nice if you're into that sort of car, I suppose.

My fiance makes fun of it, too, but that's just to make me mad. He drives an Aveo, so there's no room for him to talk :P

But yeah, generally good things from others. People are always surprised at how roomy and versatile my car is; I've carried so much random stuff in that thing, haha.

My x-fiance always said it was cute. Lots of girls tell me its cute. I was talking to a chick the other day both discussing our love for cars. Then she said she had a 5.0 mustang, and i just laughed and said i had a fit. But i get alot of dudes in the parkinlot at like wallyworld or something that will be like, "GOTCHA WONNA DEM HIBRIDZ HUH". "Won a dem gaz sippurs"

I just love it when the mustangs and stuff pass me but are too afraid to slip between traffic on the interstate cuz their car is too big, or they slow down too much in a curve. I hate it more than anything else when someone passes me right before some curves

 

On the topic of people making fun of the FIT....I actually had someone write "fag wagon" on the top of my car with their fingers and "I'm ***" under my I Love My Honda sticker.....this was while I was at work.....I hate people around Riverside.....I love my car though....once I get that K20 swapped in some day, I'm sure theyll be singin a different tune.

its roomy, affordable, looks badass, and great gas mileage
