I'm really happy to see Taffy White back in the lineup!! Also, that black Fit w/the silver rims (photoshopped?) looks awesome. I bet a lowered white '09 Fit with gunmetal rims would look amazing.

Does anybody know how much less dealer cost on these are? Particularly a Fit Sport (either transmission). Reason why I'm asking is because I work at a Honda Parts Warehouse and I can buy any new model car for dealer cost, and I plan on getting the Fit. I would really love to get an '08 model but I have to get whatever is currently in production. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Date changed to "late September," due to some dealers that are taking deposits.

Invoice price on the new models won't be released to dealers until just before the cars launch.

Pricing on 2009 Honda Fit????

It is my understanding that the dealerships are now able to order the new 2009 Honda Fit. Does anyone have first hand knowledge of the 2009 pricing compared to the 2008 pricing? Any information about the changes in pricing would be greatly appreciated.

Also, it is my understanding the 2009 will offer "all wheel drive". If this is the case, does your mileage suffer with this option? Any thoughts are appreciated. I would think any loss in mileage would be worth it to have this worthwhile option.

Thank you for any responses.

i do not believe the AWD option will be available in the US.

almost all AWD small cars do suffer from worse MPG than their 2wd conterparts. just a matter of more weight and more work for the engine.

thinking about pre-ordering a 2009 TW Sport myself... anyone able to pre-order yet?

Somebody posted that they made a deposit at a dealer in CO (There were a couple others, but I forgot where they are. It is mentioned in the 2009 fit stickied thread.)

I put a deposit down on an 09 Sport at last May. The order was confirmed last Friday for manufacture on Aug 20 with delivery end of September. The dealers first order is being shipped on August 6. Good luck.

I ordered before the options were known. I am waiting for a return call from the salesman to confirm my order does NOT include sun roof or Nav. Thanks.

You better call to make sure they don't give you AWD and a V8, too.
