Thank God I bought the Sport!!

lol, yeah this sounds like somebody who is not very happy with their purchase and wants to justify it. Why else would there be soooooo many threads with the reasons behind it. Just saying

No skin off my back, I hope you enjoy your car. The Fit is a good car as a base or as a sport package.

I also paid cash and only financed a bit (I had cash for the entire purchase but I put some against my home instead because the interest rate was higher... simple economics)

I don't get it. If you were financing, wouldn't the extra money for the Sport cost you even more money in the long run after tacking on the interests from the finance charge? That's like saying, "Well, I bought a 42" tv b/c I paid cash, but if I swiped the plastic, it's a no brainer for the 50 inch." I actually think you got it backwards.

Haha same here, but it was either the NHBP base or the Tidewater blue sport!lmao, so i chose base, i love the base but im now ready to buy the oem lip kit as for the spoiler i think it looks sexy without it, but to each their own.

btw: looking to buy the OEM front lip so if anyone has one PM me!

I bought a base model for a few reasons (listed in order of most important).

1. I couldn't get any more financed. Simple as that.
2. Sport doesn't handle any better or have any more power than base.
3. I don't care for OE lip kit and am buying my own, so put the money saved on the stock stuff for my own. First is the Seibon Spoon style wing that should be in today.

There are a few options I would like to have that I'm missing. Mostly fog lights and paddle shifters. But the first one can be added later (if I decide to) and the second . . . well I'm just assed out there.

Since none of those are Honda options or standard what screwed you?

Cripe, I think you're cheaper than me. I bought the Sport and then bought all my add-ons on the net. Gloriously less costly.

If I would have had the money, I would have bought a Sport model possibly. I could have always sold the stuff I was replacing.

What was the point of this thread again?

The OP was trying to "flaunt" his wealth and justifying his purchase of a base instead of a sport to everyone on the website, even though no one questioned his purchase to begin with. The thread has been revived because the OP recently bought a 2009 Fit Sport; so we are mostly making fun of him for being hypocritical.
