I went with a friend to pick up his new Accord yesterday and they had 16 08 Fits on the lot. All colors with 5sp or auto. The guy tried his best to sell me the black auto but I have a 09 on order.

Must be getting to the point where new buyers are waiting for the 09s. Might get a deal (slightly) on one since 09s are not too far off.

 

Damn thats pretty strange. The dealers around here have them on back order. Same with civic's. I know a couple guys that have put money on cars that dont even have vins yet. Different areas have different markets though. Around here Fits and Civics are a hot commodity. I mean damn i have 2 myself.

You don't see Fits around here only Accords and CRVs.

 

Yea, there's one milano red on the lot here...granted it's been there for 3 weeks I think now. The Tidewater that was here was gone maybe a week after it arrived. Same with the ssm, no one likes milano I guess :/

Thats crazy because MRs are everywhere in my area. I drive by 4 of them everyday on my way to work. Second is SS but almost all of the drivers that i have seen are 30 and up. Not to many younger owners around me. There is a couple but not as much as you would think.

The inventory manager is going to call that dealer and buy some of these off them! Hee hee, too bad Alabama Fit Freaks, you'd better get those now before they get loaded on the truck!!

Of the four Honda dealerships close by, there were only four Fits on the lot when I went to buy mine. One dealership had two, a used MR '07 Sport w/38,000 on the odometer and a beautiful base VBP. They wanted 1,000 over sticker for the VBP and the Sport was even more.

The 'SUPER-MEGA' dealership that has every marquee except for Ford and BMW had ONE base model that he wouldn't sell. They had 19 coming in the next week, and 17 were already paid for. The person I spoke with said that I could buy the one they had on the lot for 1500 over sticker, but that he couldn't let me have it until the next shipment arrived...

 

Keep calling them if you want one - someone's financing might fall through and if you are Johnny on the Sport (unintentional typo), you could get your dream car.!!!

 

One of our local Honda dealerships only had one Fit last month. Today the lady and I went by and they had 5 Sport and 4 Base models.

 

Sorry I wasn't clear. I got mine. It's a little red Base AT that I paid sticker for. I wanted the VBP Base that the overpriced dealer had, but not enough to pay $1000 more for it.
