Suggestion on my HIDs

What's up fellas! Well after installing my HIDs I have got nothing but high beams in my face. 18 wheelers trying to run me off the interstate. Reason I installed them was because after selling my S2K to get the Fit I realized I loved the benefits of HIDs. Makes seeing the road a lot easier and clearer, and looks great (apperance wise). Now I'm thinking of seeling them and putting the OEM bulbs back in. What other option may I have without getting rid of the HIDS? They are 8000K bulbs. Or just get rid of them all together. I don't want to have my kid in the car while having 18 wheelers running me off the road...

Thanks fellas!
-Matt

You have HIDs in housing that are made for halogen bulbs and thus your lights are producing a lot of glare.

You could either sell them or get a HID projector retrofit so you can put those HID bulbs in a housing made for HIDs.

How much does usually... I'm gonna cruise the DIY thread real quick, unless somebody has the quick link already.

change the bulbs to 6500 or lower.... 8000 is pretty blue.... Like the other person said, aim the headlights a little bit lower too.

The blue spectrum of color glares a lot more than say just regular white light. If you're intent on keeping HIDs in halogen housings then you're better off going to 4300k or 5000k. You also might be able to find a casper shield for H4 bulbs that will help block light from bouncing too high up.
