Are you saying you saw something about a price drop in the Fit? Because nothing was mentioned in the article. As a matter of fact, Fit prices increased $200 earlier this month.

No, I said "price cuts" and "price drops" meaning just that, cuts in prices, not increases. If you read the article, some companies are cutting the prices in their small cars line ups.

At least where I live, no. Fits are already sold and spoken for before they arrive at the dealer's lot and they have no reason to drop their prices. They might be trying to push Accords and Civics out the door by knocking a couple bucks off, but it's my perception that Honda's reputation and reliability allows them to be a little less desperate to sell than some other manufacturers.

I've noticed this with Toyota Yaris (rebates & financing deals) Nissan Versa and Hyundai, but Honda has been giving incentives & discounts for everything EXCEPT the Fit. They are the highest price of the import subcompacts, for good reason. They are also the highest rated for quality. I finally bought a Fit after waiting 2 years for the prices to come down. I found a dealer with 36 on his lot after gas dropped down to $1.40. If gas were still $4 per gallon, each Fit would have been gone, at sticker price & over. December is always the best month to buy.

Then why did you say Fit in your question? Misleading then.

I think he was asking if anyone had seen Fit price reductions since the article mentions small car price reductions (the Fit would qualify as a small car).

in stock!

I've not gone in the dealership but I've noticed a row of five fits at Lee's Summit Honda that appear to be going nowhere. I got mine for MSRP, with haggling, when there were none to be seen or had. I would guess this MIGHT mean that one might get a deal nowadays. I've got to get my oil changed in a week or two so I'll find out more then. If they've got them in stock and not moving the law of supply and demand SHOULD dictate that prices might lower some. There's not much profit built into the Fit so I wouldn't expect too much of a discount.
