1.3i-dsi or 1.5 vtec?

I'm looking on to purchase either the 1.3 or the 1.5 jazz. How much does the 1.3 jazz differ from the 1.5vtec in terms of engine response? I'll be coming from a Mitsubishi Lancer glxi 1.6l. Will the Jazz be an upgrade in terms of engine performance?

Thanks!

If you want performance, the 1.5 VTEC is the way to go. If you want better fuel economy, the 1.3 DSi is the one to get.

No idea how either would compare to that Lancer.

I'm not really looking for all out performance...just want to know if either can have enough power for overtaking in traffic, can go effortlessly uphill, and can have decent speed for long drives. I'm really leaning on to the 1.3 model due to its fuel economy but just don't know if it will suffice.

rather go for the 1.5 VTEC. the 1.3 will have to build up the power that the 1.5 will give almost instantly.
