Rather pointless comparison in my opinion. The biggest downside to their argument is that the base Fit lacks some extras features, most of which are available in the Sport model. If you were prepared to spend $24k for a Prius and changed your mind to a $14k Base, I don't see why you couldn't just tack on another $2000 for the Sport.

Also the 5MT would walk all over those MPG figures, 28 is a joke.

Well that's the whole point, even with their poor numbers they got in the tests, it would take 8 years of driving the Prius to break even with the difference in price between the two cars.

I just know that the two times I was able to get 40+ mpg on my fit, makes me very happy. Now after the intake and 60mm catback, i'm still getting 300+ mpg just under 400 mpg... which I say... its still not damn bad... considering I keep playing with the damn pedal lol...

upgrading the intake and exhaust lowers your mileage cause you constantly mash the pedal to the floor to hear the engine rumble to life.

in the video they said the prius get 42mpg to the fits 28...WTF i get 40+mpg on average..42 on my last two tanks.. so prius would be more expensive to purchase, more for battery replacment and maintanice, higher insurance and taxes...fit doesnt just wins...it kicks its lily @$$

With a bad O2 sensor, I still managed to knock down a 39.7mpg tank, along with a couple of 33-35 tanks. FIT WINS
