You are probably right. Where I live is not far from the NASCAR track at Talladega, and we also have an awesome motorcycle and Indy and Rolex-series track, the Barber Motorsports Park.
On the weekends when there is a NASCAR race at 'Dega, the necks in their bigass pickup trucks are out of control, folks.
On Barber motorcycle weekends, the sportbikes are running hard (and getting ticketed) all over the area.
This weekend, the IRL preseason testing is going on at Barber, and Danica Patrick will be there, along with Dario Franchitti and Marco Andretti. I know Franchitti is the champion, so I should have listed him first, but Danica is such a babe, and I am a guy, after all. Anyhow, I doubt that this weekend will have much of an effect on traffic. Not many people around here are driving Indy cars.

One way to scare people tailgating you is to keep your foot on the gas pedal while slightly depressing the brake pedal so the brake lights turn on but the brakes dont engage. Im not sure if it works with the fit but it did on my last car.

i do this if my gf is driving behind me.

apparently my dad did this too, back in the day with his friend who was on a motorcycle. the friend figured it out, so when my dad actually hit the brakes, the friend hit the back of the truck. apparently they were both fine bc they threw the motorcycle in the back (i guess it was a small one?) and took off. I was going ask more questions, but my mom entered the room and the topic changed pretty quick.

All truckers know the process and when you demo it they just decide you're too stupid and deserve to fail the suvival of the fittest test.
The real question is: why are they riding your bumper? going too slow for traffic? in the wrong lane? on the wrong highway?
Driver's have a responsibility to be safe even if it means driving reasonably over or under the speed limit. Being faster or slower than the herd singles you out for being dinner.
