FWIW - A local dealer tells me that their first Fit should arrive in mid Missouri next week (April 10-14).

 

I was told that mine would be here on the 15th of April in Central IL and now it is the 20th

Now I'm getting told that the Fit won't be here till next week (the week of the 20th). My build date was 3-10 and it cleared customs 3-28. Honda must be telling dealers that they can't have them early.

 

Well it is retarded I think. I was hoping to get it this week, but I was pushed back till the 20th too...

 

well over here in S.FL. we got the same news as for the 20th...i have not looked to see if the blaze orange , 5speed is available.

I wonder if they saw that the Canadian dealers let them go before the official release date, and decided that the US dealers would probably do the same. The only way to truly control it, would be to not let the dealers have them until the 20th.

 

They may delay further, but it will still take several days to get them to all dealers, so unless some dealers get them late, some should be getting them early.

They may ship the more rural ones early since they take longer to distribute, and effect fewer people. Then they can deliver the large cities closer to the 20th.

 

I'm new here and looking at selling my 2003 civic hybrid for a fit as I need the hatchback. Any takers? It stillis under warranty (33000) miles and had the trans fluid changed at 30000 miles(automatic) it gets 40mpg in the city.

 

Mine was built on 3/28 and will be arriving the 20th.

 

No offence, but that is what hurts, mine cleared customs in the US on 3/28 and I won't get it any sooner than you do.
