Hi.

Saw a FIT. Sat in a FIT. Played around in a FIT. The interior is hot and definately the segment leader... but I won't be getting one. I've been let down. The 5 mph North American bumpers KILL the look of the car. I've always loved the "squished together" looks of subcompacts... but these new bumpers stretch the car out. It looks unnatural, like a kit car of aftermarket bumper. I'm saddened by this as I was very excited. With the Magic Seats up, it swallows a TONLOAD of stuff. And the shifter is buttery smooth--- smoother than GTI, Mini Cooper S and pretty much any non-Honda out there.

 

Your complaint about the bumpers could easily be fixed. Price of the Fit + price for JDM conversion still probably equals less than the cost of a VW Rabbit. But I understand most people don't want to have to mess with the conversion process. I say do whatever makes you happy!

 

I'm happy that Jesus doesn't like the Fit. Makes it that much more tempting.

Let's see-you think the car is great but are not buying it because of the bumper, may I be the first to say I just don't get it.

 

I'm just going to do the JDM conversion I beleive and update it with racing component body pieces...

 

I just saw a silver one today at the lot. Pre-sold. Looks very nice. I agree in part with the bumper comment, but that will not dissuade me. It's still a darn cool little car, especially for the $$.
