My old favorite, AMICA was $1400/yr
State Farm, $1380/yr.
AAA, $1000/yr. I picked them. This seems like the average but our Detroit insurance rates suck. I wonder if I get a price break for a higher caliber weapon. Mostly American stuff is stolen and chopped in this area but I suppose the insurance folks use that to their benefit. Like the proverbial statement goes: Stats. don't lie, but liars use stats.

I'm 39 with wife and kids.
Keeping our 2004 Odyssey and swapping out our 2000 Subaru Legacy GT with the 2007 Fit Sport would increase the monthy payment $2.00. That's right, two bucks!
Deal should be done in 3 weeks, earlier if I wasn't going out of town on business!! That will give my dealer time to locate the one I want!

Called up Progressive finally to switch over insurance on my car. I had just paid insurance for 6 months on my last car, so I was waiting for my next paycheck.
Turns out my insurance went up a whopping $56 for 6 months.
Making it about $350 for 6 months. It's not max coverage, but what I consider reasonable: 100/300/50 with a $250 deductible.

I work for an insurance co. and write policies every day for all 50 states. There's no symbols out for the Fit yet, probably won't be for a while. In this kinda situation we go by a price chart to get the symbol since there's no prior model year to refer to. Fit Sport MT comes up as a 10, AT would be same (under $16,000); for comparison my 05 xB MT was an 8. If you're getting a quote from an agent don't let them use any higher symbol than 10 or the vehicle is being rated too high.
BTW-- I pay ~$800 yr w/ multi-car and multi-line discs appld.

I'm 20 years old, and I'm considered a new driver because I've only had my license since November 2005. (I know, in California, how can you wait until you're 19 to get your license? it's a long story...)
We've got AAA insurance, and our policy is on an '04 CR-V, a '92 Civic, and now full coverage on our '07 Fit, with 3 drivers. Without even having me as the primary driver on the Fit, our premium increased $1936 this year. Yikes.

I stuck with progressive they quoted me about 30 bucks more a month from liability to full coverage when changing over from my 2000 Integra to a 2007 Fit Sport. Seemed pretty fair to me and I have a horrible record with two speeding tickets in my Fit glove box at the moment

In my younger years I got a lot of speeding tickets and lost my dl for points twice. I have grown old now and I thought that proper use of a cruise control would help me avoid speeding tickets. That is why I am waiting on a fit sport so that I can get a cruise button. I still have a problem with getting stopped but now they look at me and give me warnings instead. My insurance rates aren't too bad. My agent said that about $380 for six months would be my cost for covering the Fit.
