Well they can start your car if you have keyless ignition. Fits dont have this.

Like anything else, it's just a matter of time before they figure out a way around factory installed options. That's why aftermarket units are superior.

And to make your aftermarket alarm even better, use an LED and horn from a different manufacturer. The quality of the install will definately have a BIG impact.

I'm a bit surprised that the algorthim for the roaming codes didn't do the job longer than that.

40 bits for encryption? That's nothing -- car manufs should be held responsible for under-engineering the security.

Fits require a real key to start, no worries.

Actually, this article seems to be chiefly concerned with keyless ignition systems, not keyless entry.
