Paddle Shift question
I just start to learn how to drive with the paddle shift in my Fit. I'm confusing the RPM (I don't know how to drvie manual car). I want to know what RPM to shift the gear can provide the best power and EPA Mileage.
I have no problem with the 1st and 2nd gear, but when I want to get on the highway and try to shift to 3rd and 4th gear the car seem like no power to take off. Is it I didn't reach the min. RPM to change the gear? I usually change the gear around 3400RPM to 4000RPM. Am I over load or that is not enough?
Plz HELP~~~~

By the way, there should be a recommendated RPM shift chart in you user's manual. It should be for nominal fuel usage.
Redline seems to be popular for power. But keep in mind, the Fit doesn't have a lot of power so that might be why you aren't "taking off."
1 > 2 2500 rpm 15mph
2 > 3 2500 rpm 25 mph
3 > 4 2500 rpm 35 mph
4 > 5 2500 rpm 45 mph
This is what I used to do.
