I wish there was a little recess in the dash to put a cell phone. I know this wouldn't be very universal, since some people have PDA-style cells, but it would be nice so it's always within reach. I wish ALL cars had this, though... and I guess I shouldn't be using my cell when I'm driving anyway ;-)

Other than that, I can only complain about the black material of the seats... grabs cat hair like it's going out of style.

Yes, this is my wife's number one complaint about the car. I have had this happen.

I am, however, surprised at the performance difference with the car loaded. It doesn't scoot the same way but the handling is still great!

I don't like that I can't drive it every day, all the time, 24/7...namely because I have to eat, sleep, etc.

For a econocar you have to admit theyre pretty bolstered, I just got out of owning an evo and the recaros were similar to the Fit in support and feel

Yes You're right. but I found myself needing more. I drive trough a serious curves, and most of the time have to use a lot of concentration holding me into place and after my hour every day (twice) trip, sometimes I end up pretty sore. But you are right, the Fit is a car that gives more than it should. ....... All this needing because I have the must fun I can with this little frisky son of the Mama Fit!!!!

well, it turns out that my cargo cover was free!

my dealer called me yesterday to let me know that they had forgotten to charge me for it. Apparently the manager asked her if she was going to call me about it and she said no way--she waited 2 months for her car.

yes, i would have to agree with you on this one. Swithing back and forth from the FG, Si and the DB7 Integra seats are better comparing them to the Fit.

I've never found the 1 -2 shift all that smooth or intuitive on my FiT, but maybe that's just me :-s

My only dislike is the electric throttle. It makes it difficult to rev match while down shifting. On a regular cable throttle you just tap the gas pedal in neutral and it will soar up to like 3000 RPM wile with the fit you have to really goose it to get the desired effect. Anybody else notice this?

Actually I find the Fit revs nice and freely with little throttle input. But when the A/C is on, that's another story. I don't even rev-match with the A/C on; instead, I do a no-gas downshift under braking. I actually find it easier to double-clutch rev-match in the Fit than I found it in my previous car, a 98 VW Golf.

I noticed that too. Sometimes it kind of goes into 2nd a little "rough", but other times I cant even tell it shifts. Seems to do it most when the engine is cold.

Folding seats are not usable?

[quote=FondaFit]Only 2 complaints I consider major:

2. I was also disappointed that I can't really put the back seat all the way down behind the driver's seat. I'd have to move the driver's seat too far forward to actually be able to sit in it and drive.

The Fit is very comfortable for me (I'm only 5' 3"), but my car pooler is quote]

- - - -

WHAT!?!?!?!

Are you saying your 5' 3" and cannot to fold the rear seats down all the way and still drive comfortably?!?!?!?!

Your kidding right? I'm 6'1" tall, and i'm thinking of buying the Fit to haul stuff. I was going fold the both rear seats, and just keep them folded. Will i not be able to do so in relative comfort? Can someone please verify the validity of this issue?

Thanks.

I am 5'1" and others in my family and driving are up to 6'4". I took both rear headrests out and laid both back seats down all the way. No problem with front seats at allmoving them whereever they need to be.

I don't understand why anyone even removes the headrests. All you need to do is move the front seat all the way up as far as it will go, then put your back seats down. You then put your front seats BACK to where you want them. The headrests are angled so that it is not needed to remove them. I just went out to my car to make sure and with the back seats down I can put my front seat all the way back.

You will not have any problems. They put a latch on the top side of the front seats to allow you to be able to move them forward from the back just for this purpose.

So it can be done, you just have to first move the front seats forward, put the back seats down, then move the front seat back to where you want it. It works awesome.

Considering mine's 3 years old, there's very little to fault in the way it drives & most of the things I don't like have been resolved on newer models. I have the earlier chassis set up - it manages to combine an unsettled ride with too much body roll, but it's bearable.

My number one gripe is the grabby brakes, I don't know if US models have got this problem, but it put off another member of my family when test driving a new UK model recently. It makes it a chore driving smoothly. Honda service my car so it's not a maintenance issue.

Criticisms are far outweighed by virtues & when I replace it it will probably be with a new or newer one.

OMG! That is such a relief. I have not had a chance to even see a 'Fit' in person, so you could imagine my concern. Thanks for putting me at ease.

Footpedal is too light.

Need a little more power.

I hate the drum brakes in the rear.

Here is a picture (not a very good one, but the best I could do) with the rear seats down (headrests still on) and the front seat pushed all the way back.
