I actually do not use the coins for tolls, I rarely go into Boston these days. They do however, come in handy for the following:

1. Paying the extra 5 cents tax on a small Wendy's french fry (when I am in the mood for one)

2. Grabbing a handful of quarter to go to the arcade with the kids.

3. When the cell phone dies, those dimes come in handy.

4. Getting more Altoids Mints.

OK, I got a bit carried away, but it is handy to have some spare change in the car.

I did think of one more complaint, no door edge guards. I have scraped up my driver side door, and I am careful. I have a support pole in my garadge and sometimes I lean the dor against it. The paint seems to scratch very easily too.

-More powerful engine.
-No armrest.
-No "good" coin holder.
-Could get better gas mileage. (26MPG)
I think this: If i bought a Fit, and it got 26MPG, i would return it immediately and get every bit of my money back or ask for a different car.

I cannot get a comfortable seating position. When my legs are comfortable, the steering wheel is too far away. When the wheel is right, my legs feel jammed up.

No center console. The AC is not cold enough. The head lights don't shine out far enough. Pretty short list.

All these have been mentioned before. These are all minor and I'm still glad I bought this car!

I'm skeptical personally.

I've commented it to my dealer, who said that estimates are off due to driving habits, and engine not broken in, etc.

I've also commented to Honda corporate (called in), and they gave also don't give a damn.

I suspect the most likely response to an attempted refund is "no, and bugger off". I've never seen a single report of a refund due to poor gas mileage, considering 26 MPG is within 15% of the 31 MPG city of the Sport AT.

It would appear that there HAS to be some sort of issue with the AT Fits. I'm pretty sure EVERY report here of poor fuel economy has been with the AT. (Not EVERYONE with an AT is having the issue, tho).

Makes me glad I ordered a MT Fit.

I DO wonder if they'll break in and shape up with time. Maybe someone should try changing the AT fluid and filter, see if it helps at all?

I've got a AT fit and with only 500 miles on it, it got 362 miles on a tank that wasn't quite full. Who knows, I guess I got lucky!

Well, this is a "world car" and therefore not as refined as vehicles intended strictly for the U.S. market.
Remember this vehicle is meant to compete with the likes of Cherry or Kia. I still believe that we all bought to a price point, and would bet that the people with with complaints probably have had a few cars or are older. For somebody where this is their first car, the excitment obliterates any criticisms.
I feel that I got what I paid for and another couple of grand would've bought me the Civic. No regrets...yet

It annoys me that the passenger side has no power lock switch. It also annoys me that the driver lock pin locks all the doors when you push it down, so you're almost guaranteed to lock the car down with your elbow as you drive with the window down and arm out.

Actually, it doesn't annoy me directly... it annoys the people riding shotgun, who then complain "LET ME OUT!", which in turn annoys me.

Arrow Give me Floor Mats that Fit my Fit without breaking my @#%#@%^&

My only complaint is no floor mats or cargo cover only to have to buy them from Honda for SUPER HIGH prices because NOTHING else FIT RIGHT.
Sort of puts a bad taste in my mouth for Honda.
The dislike of the dealer prep fee for taking delivery of my vehicle is not Hondas fault.
I would love a Sunroof, arm rest, seat adjustments, lumbar, inside hatch and fuel release, factory turbo....oh wait that is all on the GTI.
My B.O.M. Fit is still way cooler than the GTI and a lot cheaper plus its built more solidly than anything else I looked at.
P.S. what is up with the plaid seats on the V dUb Germans are soo weird.

GO little FIt GO.....

Go online for Fit accessories. My dealership was very proud of the parts and did not discount. In fact they were marked up over list price. Incidently, putting AC on recirc and turning up the temp off of max has been keeping me cool in 106 degree weather and increased mileage a touch. But it's still nothing like as advertised. But I am driving around 70 MPH to keep up with traffic.

1. the smell from the A/C - like something burning. I thought that there was air filtration. The air in mine is not filtered, it just stinks!
2. the a/c is not adequate for really hot climates ( So. Calif.). I feel sweaty while driving. Very disappointing.
3 needs a center arm rest.
4. the gearing of the M/T - 1st and 2nd just get you started, 3rd does most of the work, 4th is a comfortable cruising gear, 5th is the OD. 1st and 2nd just don't seem to be matched well to the final drive and cause choppy shifts.
5. I really do like my Fit. It is fun, and I enjoy looking at all the bigger cars in the parking lots and thinking that I have as much usable space.

my sole concern is...

poor milage, average 27mpg on AT Sport. I once tried driving really "unspirited" and got 30mpg, still short of the 31-37 in the sticker estimate.

My guess is that low mpg is the exception to the rule. Now that I have over 4000miles Im getting 30/37 city/highway with agressive driving. Dont let this thread scare you away.

I too have a smell with a/c but its metallic in nature. Burning is something that should be checked out. The air filtration is HEPA type, unless their is a charcoal filter in there, odor will not be effected. Also perhaps you are not getting max out of a/c if something is wrong. Had some 100 degree days with very high humidity (about 115 F adjusted temp) and the a/c kept me cool enough with recycle on. Just a thought for you. Also, a/c seems to be cooler now that I have a few more miles on the car.
