i dont like that i have to work 9 hours a day and not be able to drive that bad boy more!!

but seriously, the ankle cramp thing to a degree, i just have to adjust my driving stance so that i have my leg straight on the pedal instead of in the middle between gas and brake. also, might attract TOO much attention when parked (damn hood rats)...and last, automatic locking doors, gotta adjust to manually locking them while pulling away

What is it with the gas pedal? Is it at a more vertical angle than I'm used to in every other vehicle I've driven? I've had to move the seat back farther as well, just to avoid the ankle cramp issue, myself.

Not sure why many want a 6th gear?

The gearbox is a good match for the VTEC motor and its band, 4th gear is a very usable gear for most of your driving, and five gives you good cruising and power.

It is geared like many European cars similar to it in intended market, RPM is almost = to x 50 of speed (60 mph = 3K RPM), but then we are used to that, I had an old Citroen GS 1220 club that would run at redline at 150 KPH (about 90 MPH) on the highway.

It is not sluggish like my old Mercedes or Camry with automatic where 60 MPH = about 2K).

Complaints? No intermitent wiper on rear, sun glare on radio display, and no cruise control on the base model but then I drive everywhere (2200 miles already in three weeks of ownership) and I am an old fart.....

I would have to agree with the other people about the center armrest and dead pedal.

I also don't like the unbearable wind noise that comes when you open the back windows ~75mph. But after cracking the front windows it doesn't bother me anymore.

Major Problem

I have found one major problem with my Fit. I see that other people are having the same problem too. I DON'T HAVE IT YET. I will have a fit before I get my Fit.

Mmmm what do you mean by cracking the front windows ? I'm french and not used to these terms.

price.
Everything else is cool.

price? If you mean total price, I don't think it is high compared to what my '93 civic cost brand new (15800)...13 years later, the car seems comparable in price and equipment (yes my civic has a sunroof, but does have rear drums...but no ABS

My dislikes:
Could use rear discs
I agree: sunroof option would be great
Could use more dealer installed options like the Scion marque offers

A place to rest your left foot while driving. It does not move, that is why they call it a dead pedal.

The lack of armrest bothers me but I can do without a dead pedal. You can easily DIY a dead pedal. As for the wind noise, I thought it alright. It's wayyyyy better than my WRX. Hahaha

Many people mentioned this... but my right leg gets really tired from long distances...

So far, that's the only thing that I don't like that I couldn't determine from a short test drive. I'm really very happy with the car.
Thanks for the tip. I am 6' 2", but all legs and my thighs and lower back have been killing me (I drive a lot).

I tried the towel Friday and so far, so good!

My big 4

1. Gas tank bump on the floor prevents me from drawing in my left leg (by
bending at the the knee).

2. No dead pedal.

3. No center console armrest.

4. Hard to find a comfortable seat position combination for long trips.
