Cargo cover question
Whatever you want to call it. The fact is thieves have a pretty common MO. They won't waste time peeking through tiny gaps with a flashlight and they cannot see something of value inside just looking for a few seconds, so they will either move on or they'll target you at random anyway (in which case the design of the cover is completely irrelevant). Whatever you choose to call it, this is the way just about every one of them operates.
You can complain all you want that it's overpriced and not well designed for the price. I agree with you. But it's not worth worrying that the gap will attract thieves or expose the contents. It really won't - try it for yourself.

Is it so that the seats can be reclined or put upright without leaving a gap?
I can't see quite how it's set up in the video, but I can't see how you'd do it without a bit of slack there - You would either have a gap when the seats are straight up and down, or you would lose the ability recline the rear seats.

the top shelf is sturdy if used properly, just dont put cement bags or such on it
Late to the party here, as usual.
First of all, the rear seats recline?!!? I did not know that until now. Thanks guys!
I may be interested in a cargo cover simply for the reason of noise reduction. I was in my Moms Ford Focus the other day and we had the rear seats down to access the trunk pass through. (Didn’t bring the Fit, sigh). I noticed it was a lot louder in her car due to the rear trunk/strut area being open to the cabin.
The light bulb went on and I thought “maybe a cargo cover would help lower the decibel level in my Fit”.
I know all about putting soundproofing in the car, don’thave the time or money to do that right now.
To those who have put cargo covers in their Fits, do you think it helped quiet the car down a bit?
