I prefer automatic transmissions these days. The Fit still delivers excellent MPG and performance with auto. Love the paddle shifters on mine.

I like the Polished Metal Metallic but could have gone with white too.

Gotta have auto in SF. Those SF hills will eat up your clutch and raise your BP a few notches or worse, both.

I thought it was a weird post to begin with, worded oddly. LOL
Sounds like a sock puppet to me. Rude.

What do you have to do around here to get a greenie? I give them out, but no one has repped me.

the rating system on this site is very confusing-- I think the green dots come with more posting. Check your profile for a rep. Sorry I am not very good at remembering to do this

Here's an old thread you might find useful. Don't know how accurate this is but makes sense if you care about the "green dots."

I got your message and greenie. I was very active on another board for 4 years and had thousands of posts and much green. It looks different on here. I have added reps to several people here and still I remained a single gray dot. Thanks Susan, I now feel better with some green.

Actually, you shouldn't jump to conclusions. I have this thread email me with each new response, and I have visited the site at least twice per day since I asked the question. I don't always log in as I visit from work, but I felt I needed to respond to the accusations I am not paying attention to your replies, which I am.

And if it matters, yes, I'm buying a Honda Fit Sport, polished metallic, with window tint, door molding, pinstriping and added leather interior.

I went automatic. I love manual transmission, I really do, but I use my car to commute, and my motorcycles to cut up the road. I have too many mobile conference calls and parking garages to deal with a stick for "fun". Its for transportation. My driving fun comes from riding my motorcycles. The fit will be fun too, just a different kind

Thanks again for those that gave good input. It was important to me and I appreciate it.

Jennifer- glad you are back & made your Fit decision.
There are many people who join and make one post and never return. Hope you stay around- we need more women on the forum The polished metal is an awesome color. I love stick but opted for AT as well. Had surgery on my left toe a few years ago and my foot is not quite as dexterous as before.

Glad you came back
I didn't even know leather was an option!!
Did you have to special order that? Did it take longer?

Add on from the dealer. Katzkin brand. Black leather will look nice I think.

I used to have a MT and decided after a few years that I have many others things I can do with my hands other than shift, shift, shift! But, they are fun.

I like all the colors. Gray cars are EVERYWHERE, and I prefer NOT to fit in.
"They" say that you should choose a color that can be seen easily in fog, like red or blue versus white or gray. BUT really, who listens to that stuff? How often do you find yourself in heavy fog? I lived in the SF Bay area and even there I don't think anyone had an accident in the fog because they had a gray car.

Blue Raspberry Metallic is feminine, for females or males who are very secure in their masculinity
Red is sporty
Black is classy
White is classic and clean
Vortex Blue Pearl is manly (IMHO)

I don't think JenniferF gives hootie patootie what anyone here has said. She posted the OP a week ago and never came back or replied.
Love the smiley faces ... says it all.
