3rd generation Fit
#5
The standard 5 year Honda cycle is three years with a new model, then a "mid cycle refresh" (which in this case is the 2012 Fit) for two more years.
Sometimes the cycle gets pushed longer in the case of highly successful models or when there are delays in the redesign. Rarely does it go shorter (although apparently the Civic's terrible reception has caused them to move the refresh up by a year). So the risk to you of Honda redesigning the Fit for 2013 is, I think, negligible. The standard cycle would see the new 2014 Fit announced mid-2012, but as I said, it could be later than that ..

I'm voting or 2014 given that this is the target for the new plant in Mexico to start churning out Fits for North America. Also, honda's getting beat up by the other car makers for lack of a DI motor and tall tranny, which I think will go into the next Fit as well.
