This person selling his 2010 Fit is near me...tell me what you think?
Cars for Sale: 2010 Honda Fit Sport in Newark, NJ 07104: Hatchback Details - 347594457 - AutoTrader.com
Carfax is there free and avail. to see - no accidents, guy barely drove it. Would you jump on this? I can probably bring it down to 12500.

I'd buy that in a heartbeat. I don't see him coming down on price though, that's basically brand new and still under warranty. I'm sure he'll have no problem selling it for the asking price if you're not willing to pay it.

Hi, thanks FitFreaks
I went to see the above listed 2010 Fit, it was indeed in new condition, the car even smelled like it. I brought the car down to 13k, but then the guy tells me he doesn't have the title at hand and still needs to write off a check that woud have taken a week or two.
Instead, I went ahead on a 2007 magnetic grey Prius pkg 4 with 48,800 miles for $13,500. Both cars were in great condition considering their miles...it is nice to have a title at hand when negotiating.
I also compared both ride qualities again and I personally liked the Prius' softer seats and passenger space. Thanks for all the help.

The old wisdom on cars is almost completely antiquated at this point - depreciation, no longer accurate, and the cost of used Honda's is why people just buy new... and then do very well if they have to sell it later.
Prius - I considered these, but learning that they aren't actually greener cars overall, and hybrids have super expensive maintenance... hmm, nah, won't bother with a hybrid right now.
Also, in buying new, if you can swing it, you'll get the warranty.
I'm sorry I'm not that knowledgeable on how much prices go down at the end of August. I didn't wait and got one 2 weeks ago at .9% financing.
Toyotas have better gas mileage overall because they aren't built as sturdy - just a thought for ya.

Both the cars are from different brands and the major difference between them is Toyota Prius is a hybrid car while the Honda Fit is a petrol car. So if you want a fuel efficient one go for Prius, also the same is more spacious. If I would have been in your place, I would have picked Prius between the two, without any second thought.
I had a 2011 Prius Two Model and absolutely loved the car. Rarely do you find vehicles that perform as advertised but I've been fortunate to have owned two. The Fit & the Prius. I had to trade get more interior room. Otherwise I would still be driving the Prius. If you want eco-friendly 50+ mpg, go with the Prius. If you need good fuel economy with maximum versatility, go with the Fit.
